Vredestein Ultrac's run big?
I'm about to purchase a set of 4 for my 230's but I've been hearing that I need to be careful as vreds can run a little big.
Will I have any problems fitting 235/35 19 (front) and 265/30 19 (rear) on OEM 230's? Just want to check guys before I have these shipped in those sizes. Don't want to have issues at the tire shop and have to order another size. Thanks.

No, I don't feel that the Vredesteins run big. 235 and 265 will fit fine on the 230.

this is my second set, im a fan, run great, provide good rim protection
only 1 complaint that I have (and I'm not sure its really major) if it gets real cold overnight (I mean ~40F and below) ; Ive noticed that these tires flatspot a little for the first minute or two that I roll them out ; if the temps are higher, it doesnt happen

Total cost was $789.66 delivered to my door (tax, free shipping) Not too bad. What kills me is to get them mounted and installed it's about $120-150 extra (because I'm bringing them in as opposed to ordering them there) bringing my total to around $915. Kinda sucks but I hope these tires are worth it. Beat's $1700 PS2's

I read that same review that said the Vred's run big. I disagree...
I'm running 235/275's without any problems. No fender rolling. I could have easily fit 245's up front, which I should have... Next time I guess. I'm dropped on KW V1's with 19x8.5 ET35 and 19x9.5 ET33 wheels. I rubbed once in the rear when I hit a dip on the freeway that sent my car bouncing somewhat. Other than that one occurrence, no problems. |
