Sorry, don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to be a dick I just want to understand the product. $700 is a lot to lay down for something that we've only gotten a couple of far away pics of.

This is in effect a carbon fiber veneer over an already existing plastic piece of oem trim? And not a trim piece made of 100% carbon fiber to the dimensions of the oem trim?

That seems like a LOT of money for it not being 100% fiber. I'm sure the costs of the oem trim to create the new trim have to be high though.

I agree, $700 is alot of risk on my side, plus the fact that there is a 3 week wait! I dunno, mangh! I wish you were closer to me, so I can just stop by. your product seems alot professional than the others Ive seen, and Im sure its bcoz of the OEM underlay that you are using!
Let! me just hold on and wait until I see others first!
Maybe we can start with the window CF pillar, thats ez'ier and faster, and less rish for me!
but post car photos if you can !

It is full replacement pieces. so what you have to do is remove your trim ( either wood or aluminium) and replace with the carbon fiber one.

The overlay parts mean that we took oem (either wood or alumunium) and wrapped it in carbon fiber. So, there is no problem with the fitment.

you should of said, we overlaid the part during the process of making the mold. dont say they are overlay. i assume they were just overlay overthe trimming.

i just got a big dent in my aluminum trim and its really pissing me off..... so im looking at getting some carbon fiber now.... i was just wondering but do you guys think that the black carbon fiber would be too "sporty" for a luxery sedan... i talked to my brother about it and he thought it would look like i was trying to make my car something it itsnt.

Yes exactly. If many of you guys did not know, all aftermarket trims offered are "overlays." Dont get the idea wrong though. It is not a carbon fiber piece that you have to put on top your existing piece with 3m double sided tape, that would just be rediculously idiotic to pay anythign more than $10 for. Instead the carbon fiber weave is wrapped around the oem piece and also topped with clear coat to give that sexy look. This is just like any other aftermarket carbon fiber piece on the market, its just for looks. I doubt it would save any significant weight anyways. You might be seeing what, 5pounds off the interior of your car?

You may be asking, how do i know this? I come from a e46 community where there were quite similar mods available for the e46 as is now the e90. Many past e46 owners know what im talking about.

Maybe I can get my parts department at my dealership to buy into a set to display on our showroom floor.

oh yeah, 'a burrito', you should get the trim in titanium, that would look hot on your ride. I dont think the black carbon fiber would look best with black leather, but the titanium would look nice, my friend has that trim color in his F150 truck. definately the best option.
