Anyone on here running the MHD E40 (v7) tunes try the newer E30 v8? Which one feels like the stronger map? I'm headed to the track saturday and currently running E30 map. It feels very strong but wondering if I run a touch more e85 and the E40 map would be worth it? Thanks.

I am only running V8 because they are flex fuel maps. Not that you can't run them though, I am not sure about power differences.

i ran a 11.95 @ 116 with a custom E40 tune, no downpipes , stock fuel pump

i added stg 2 fuel pump, inlets, and e50 custom tune ( same psi, same timing ) and i ran 11.5 @ 119

it is possible to run 11s with a OTS tune as my friend just did in his e90 2 weeks after buying it bone stock, fmic, downpipes, 275s street tires and stock 18s. He used a V5 E40 ots map as that one targets 21 psi and is by far the strongest e40 ots map. He ran 11.8 @ 117

he just did a custom tune with wedge that targets 22psi and 15 degrees of timing, and we are hitting the track tomorrow, so i will report the times we get.

try V5 E40 map, it targets 21 psi and its stronger than any v7 or v8 map, with the perfect setup and run its a 11.5 map

For sure, keep me posted! I was averaging 11.5 degrees of timing during my 11.8@117MPH run, curious to see how 15 will be.

Not sure i want to mess with the desensitized knock tables, any thoughts/experiences on that? I do have inlets/outlets/DPs so the turbos would breathe nicely at 21 psi...

it was recommended by wedge as the strongest of the OTS maps, i dont think if would be accessible if it was a dangerous tune that could harm your engine.

he did run but he was spinning every pass off the line so his best was a 12.1, the track prep just wasnt there and on the street tires was pretty much impossible to hook up.

Ok, I will be heading back to the track Sunday. I may lower my shift points from 6000 to 5800. As well add more E85 to my tank as I had my calculation wrong last time I went. I was more closer to an E30 mixture then E40........my bad

I do, just curious where everybody stops the fun in first.

I usually ride it to 6500 or more just because the gear is so short I like to make use of it.

Every other gear I shift at 6000 or before

i launch in 2nd since mine is auto, i tried launching in 1st but that 1-2 shift is making the ET worse, i would probably need to cut a 1.4 or a 1.5 60 foot for it to be worth launching in first ( that wont happen with rwd ), plus the added stress on the tranny and axles with the 1-2 shift wont help... i stick with 5700-5800 for all gears but i stay in 4th, pass the finish line around 6300rpm

not a bad ET but the mph is a little low, usually 60 foots are a constant 1.6 1.7 with Xi but since u have subs and all that extra weight, it might be slowing u down a little.

maybe try V7 E40 map or the V5 E40 that targets 21 psi

and since you are AWD always launch from first
