Error code 2e0f E92 n55

Hello all

I'm a new member abd this is my first post. I recently bought an E92 335i n55 manual.

I did a fault code check with and to my disappointment the software displayed 2 errors error. The one I'm want to know about is 2e0f, it's something to do with the valvetronic system... As I got the car recently I haven't noticed any issues, or I don't know how it felt before the issue started. Only thing I might notice is a slight rough idle, around every 6or 7 seconds the is a slight shake or hiccup. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. In terms of power I have no idea if it has lost power or not... I've read a few things, from people saying to replace the motor, to disable it and to re initialise it. I like the idea of re initialising it and would be the cheapest 😋

Does any one have experice of what happens when this part is faulty and what is the first fix to try?

Thank you in advance here is a print off of the inpa print of below

It will simplify your problem by giving you a better detailed error code. Which will help you identify the issue

I'm going to take a wild guess but in my opinion i believe its your eccentric shaft sensor failing. If not that i would check the DME for damage along with the harness.

After too many faults to the DME it will throw this code.

This sounds expensive, I read somewhere that relearning the valvetronic motor might help. How do you do that...

You purchased a BMW sir, Welcome to the club.

But honestly, you need to go to a indy shop or find a mechanic who can help diagnose/fix these issues. Regardless of pinpointing out the problem online, You'll still need to get the work done.

Hello, so anyone that is having this same code, I ended up downloading ista, and did a recalibration of the valvetronic! It completely fixed the code! Do kot go to a machanic, do the diagnostic yourself and try to fix yourself first because you will get ripped the hell off! I got quoted like 600-800 for them to fix this issue!

I am having the same issue on my n55. Can you please be more specific what exactly you did? What is ISTA? Where do I download it? How do recalibrate the valvetronic.

Thank you!
