Best place for N54 Coils? OE vs OEM?

Hey guys,

I am looking for a full set of coils for a tuned N54. BMW have quoted me circa £320 (circa $390 dollars) for a set of 6. The cheapest I can see them here in the UK is £300 for a set of genuine 6.

I can see people using the OEM versions of eldor coils rather than OE, at a far cheaper price. Are these just as good?

I can see cheap prices at FCP Euro. Are the OEM coils as good as the OE variants?

Thanks

Ive had the eldor coils for over a year now...no complaints...

I wish I’d gotten them from fcpeuro...but I didn’t know about the lifetime guarantee at the time...

Did you get the OE "BMW Approved" stamped variant. Or just the standard OEM Eldor coils?

Eldor still going strong! Purchased from FCPeuro, life time warranty can't beat that!

For that much money I'd 100% uograde to the precision race coils and be done with it. Forget the BMW ones.

They're approx $650 here in the UK as opposed to $154 for Delphis. I'd love a set of PR Coils but the cost is prohibitive as usual over here.

I use the OE Bosch. I don't care since I plan to replace them with my spark plug changes since I got them via FCP.

Yeah, OP was quoting $390+ USD for OEM. Import tax is a bitch it seems

Your best bet is Delphi coils from Eurocarparts mate, I've got a set here and they certainly look far better quality than the Bosch. It's either that or spring for the PR coils from ML Performance at £527

Delphie coils are trash and belong in the garbage. Bosch oem>delphie any day. I've tried both and Bosh wins eveytime!!

Try oembimmerparts, I originally got my Eldor coils since they were the first to carry them before FCP. They are priced reasonably at the suggested site.
