"slickman" knows a lot about them as well. Gets rid of wheel hop. That's a good thing.

The guy who makes this type also makes a copy of the defiv kit too for a fraction of the price. Made from laser cut alloy plate. It's nice and works well. I found it on some German website which I can't find now!

I've had the diff lock down kit from Boost Addictions for 2yrs. It worked very well with the stock diff, and then with an MFactory LSD for the past 1yr.

Neither is my product but would personally steer away from welded brackets at the diff. I have read few review when they crack. That, and ascetics too. Welded lock ugly. This is coming from non poser BWM owner.

Alright, I will expalin.
Neither Boost Addiction welded bracket nor VWetish one piece bracket are my products. I don't make nor I care too much about how the bracket looks like. However some of these welded brackets on the market has broken off. They develop cracks by the welds. Bimmerfixerguy was first to report this issue. Additionally, some of them don't fit quite right because they are hand welded. Cloud9Blue reported this issue I believe. For these reasons I think that solid bracket is better deal for the money. |

Would this be a pointless upgrade on an xi? If wheel hop elimination is the only reason for running one, then I would think so.
