Full Delete and Tune

I've crawled this site for some time reading as many posts on deletes, and tunes now ready to make the move based on issues I've had with my 2011 335d w/ 120k.

I'm looking for recommendations on what should be deleted, benefits and what tunes are required for each delete, who's the best tune and your opinion.

I've been fighting with EGR errors but have a laundry list of codes being thrown, so I'm ready to do a full delete on everything that is causing CBU and will gain HP, along with exhaust. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. During the process I will return the favor as many have and document each step, in hopes it provides helpful information for others.

Do CBU cleaning first. Get a clean baseline to start from.

Welcome. If you haven't already...read the sticky mega thread. Many options these days, so we can help steer you depending on what your goals are.

Example...if your goal is just to get rid of issues and most cost effective approach. I would suggest a race tune, egr block off plates and gut the DPF and SCR.

From there you can go to full custom tune, billet egr delete pipe, custom exhaust, hybrid turbos, etc

Thanks for the replies, my current issue is I continue to get P0402 error code and constantly going into limp mode. I've removed the EGR completely cleaned, it was like brand new when I re-installed. No codes for a couple days, I'm in NE and recently cold weather, I'm get the code soon as I'm on the highway. If just in town driving no errors, I'm going to try cleaning MAF see if that helps. I have pulled other codes for swirl, def heater, etc.. etc..

I'm just ready to pull the trigger and delete anything that needs to be deleted. I did a full CBU clean out at 65k at the dealer. I'm not looking to shell out that money again.

I have no problems doing a EGR delete, and gut DPF and SCR. One question is do I need a custom tune as part of the EGR delete and DPF/SCR if so what's the tune of choice.

Nope, you don't need a custom tune as part of the egr/dpf/scr deletes. BPC, JR, Malone and others all offer "canned" tunes that account for those deletes. There is also an operation out of WA or OR that does tunes but their name escapes me. As for the tune of choice, it's kind of like asking "Who makes the better shotgun: Remington, Mossberg, or Benelli?" You really can't go wrong.

Have you got a plan for your P0402? Also, don’t clean MAF, you will ruin it.

I installed the Provent 200 and have been amazed at the amount of liquid (mostly oil goop) removed in a couple thousand miles. We need this junk removed from the intake system to keep down/eliminate CBU for longevity.

Not a bad idea at all, however once EGR is blocked, there is no CBU. Oil blow-by, without a catch can, is just burned in combustion.
