I have 4 working tested injectors following my N53 rebuild-lite. These vary from index 3 -9 but most importantly do not leak when the engine is turned off and left to stand. They have the decoupler rings and old seal still attached unto you if you want to remove. £70ea delivered in the UK If you need a new or decoupler seal I can supply a new one for £8ea as I bought extras when I was trouble shooting. |

Will, not wanting to affect your sale in any way, but you'd probably be better off sticking these on eBay. Most members of this forum are well aware that if you're fitting injectors, index 11 is the way to go and that fitting secondhand ones tends to lead to ealry failure. Not to say someone with an injector issue wanting to get shot of their car wouldn't welcome them though... GLWS.

No problem at all Phil, my reasoning is that a lot of people don't want to spend 1200£ on new injectors as Index 11 is a all or nothing, unless of course you have index 10 which is mixable.
This potentially gives someone a chance to fix there car for low money/risk, I will be eBaying them if no interest but I figured people may want to buy from a forum member before the pot luck of eBay as most people seem to sell these injectors without knowing if they are faulty. |

IMPORTANT: Injectors with index 11 and higher have a different calibration and construction than injectors with index 10 and lower. Due to this difference, the injectors with index 11 and higher and injectors with index 10 and lower cannot be mixed on the same engine bank (i.e., cylinders 1-3 or 4-6). Once a bank of injectors is at index 11 or higher, the "bank set replacement" requirement no longer applies. For index 11 injector failures, only replace the failed injector https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...29104-4598.pdf |

Im not saying it does't work, Im saying it not recommended and has some significant pitfalls - so much so that BMW wrote it down in their TSB based on advice from the injector manufacturer. Additionally the point Phil was making earlier about injectors failing after changing one, relates to how these injectors work in banks under DME control, when they start to leak the other injectors try to work harder to deliver more fuel, that causes a stress point which often leads to multiple failures. Of course this doesn't happen all the time but its worth bearing in mind if the engines has been like dog for a while! Perhaps that why you are replacing injectors one after the other? Given this is a for sale post I'm happy to continue this on the Tech forum where I can show several reasons why it not a good idea to mix old and new injectors models i.e. mixing index 10& 11 with lower index. |

Not intending to threadjack at all. My number 4 injector is leaking so I need another one but it seems that I can't use one of yours because you say they all have to be the same.

Secondly, I didn't say you can't mix injectors I said you can't mix injectors with index 11 in bank and posted the relevant BMW documentation to support this - more for the people who care about doing things the right way rather than the cheapest way possible or what a lot of "specialists" have done to fix which has led to expensive further repairs. 3rd this is old news discussed many many times, look at the N54 Forum section of this forum on the US side, and before any chimes in - it shares the same fuel systems and injectors so is absolutely relevant. In summary there no point in spending £200 x X on a index 11 injector to mix in set of old injectors, potentially destroying the index 11 prematurely and having to fix again or continually having a an engine that isn't running well (unless of course you don't care about these things!), particularly if you can't do the work yourself and you're paying for some to fit individual injectors. However the logic is infinitely more appropriate to use a known good injector in a existing bank with a failed injector(s) as the financial risk is substantially lower. Thus providing a cheaper solution for some one that doesn't have or want to spend £1200+ on replacing the whole lot. Of course there are no guarantees, and in your case I see you have misfires for a long time which isn't going to be good news for the remaining injectors. Is that easy enough to grasp? Any questions?
