After two weeks of driving, front is 1/4 inch lower, and rear is 3/8 higher... I liked how it changed the stance.

Man, I'm really debating this or some real-deal coils- TCKline or GC. My mind says coils but my wallet says BMW PS.

Which kit did you get, tres? I'm leaning towards the coils too... specifically the street/school. Also, how much do you track vs street, and what are your spring rates? Would you choose different rates now?

I would do Coilovers as well.. I think I would have liked the ability to adjust shock damping and ride heght to my liking... BMW PS kit is great, but I wouldnt mind having front sit another 1/4 inch lower. Will be doing rear sway bar and subframe bushings soon. If that doesnt address rear softness, then CV will be on my list for next year.. Or if I get promoted..

Also, if you track, which judging by this thread you are, you will appreciatte having adjustable suspension... I dont track, so PS works great without much sacrifice in ride quality.

My main draw away from the BMW PS is the spring rates are still not as high as I want. I am a proponent of more spring, less sway- both for trackability and for street comfort.

I'm convinced... for now- I get impatient.

Thanks!

How are those rates on the street? I was thinking 400/650 for me...

Various bits hopefully going on this weekend if there's time:

- PowerFlex Subframe bushing replacements
- TRW M3 front tension and control arms, plus pull the alignment pin for more negative camber - from what I've read I should be able to get close to -2 degrees this way, right?
- Megan adjustable upper camber, trailing, and toe arms - planning to run more relative positive camber to increase straightline traction and reduce understeer
- e93 M3 front and e92 M3 rear sway bars

Coils will come later; I've exhausted my mod funds at the moment. I want to run TCkline DA's with Ground Control street camber plates, but that will take some time.

I've put together a little spreadsheet to model suspension biases, frequencies, and other metrics to help me find the right spring rate starting point for my needs. Fun stuff.

Will post pics and review when it's all done.

Just got back from my 'is very first DE track outing!

The short of it: the enhanced cooling capacity was up to par. Under normal conditions the temp showed 240 degrees (no thermostat), and at full wail even after the full 20 minute session I was pinned at 250. Ambient temp was 85 degrees. Ran on both Map 5 and Map 1 (for better control).

The brakes were not up to par once I pushed past 7/10's for extended periods. They started to smear a bit and I definitely boiled my RBF600 at some point, and then backed off. I'm going to fab up some brake ducts with covers so I can run one pad and just open up the ducts for the track. I also am switching to Castrol SRF. No more putzing around with the RBF.

The car is looking sweet! I see you have made some suspension mods, did you end up getting coilovers?

Thanks buddy! I sure did- the mods list in my signature is up to date, buy yeah I'm running AST 4100's with the dual digressive piston upgrade, and swift springs. Found a good deal on them used, along with m3 style lower camber arms.

Essentially every suspension arm on both front and rear have been upgraded. And subframe bushes!

Made all the difference in the world...
