Thumbs up RING 2 Video Doorbell - Install & Review

So I already have 4 external cameras on our home covering the 4 corners of the house. But I wanted a simple yet effective solution for clear and concise video image and recording for the front door. Installing a wired or wireless camera above the front door wasn't practical at all due to height and no power outlet up high. Enter the RING 2. After researching multiple options, and countless reviews, I decided on this one.
Features: It uses a wide angle 1080 HD camera with microphone and speaker for 2-way communication. The version 2 worked out several bugs the first had and includes two different face plates. Thank goodness because the dark matte cover goes perfectly with our dark bronze/wood/brick theme.
The connection and setup is a breeze! Downloading the app and syncing to my network was a snap too. The app is very user friendly, and intuitive. Not large in size or a clusterf**k like most video camera apps.
I hard-wired into our existing doorbell. Drilled 4 holes into the brick for the anchors and screws. Installed the faceplate and then secured the unit to it. Worked perfectly the first time.
Video quality on my LG phone is superb with no lag time. Highly recommended!

Haha! That would be awesome. But I can see the legality of accidental tasings problematic for Ring and the Homeowners.

Are you paying a subscription? Looking over the amazon reviews, seems like you need a subscription for the app to be useful otherwise you can only watch live events.

Yep. $30 a year for unlimited video reviews. No biggie. Since I got it from Amazon, I can test drive it and the service free for 30 days.
