Took a peek under the skirt

I was out playing around with the 335 and decided to pull the engine cover for a quick peek. It's damn ugly under there! Needless to say it was quickly reinstalled.

I don't recall the N52 engine having so many wires under it. Maybe it's because of DI?

Guys they are different engines. Note the intake runners on the one with the metal cover. Also the little cylender which is the Valvetronic control unit on the non turbo.

I'd vote for, that all the current e9# 3 series engine bays and engines as amongst the most ugliest looking and untidy in layout of most manufacturers out there !!
But one forgets about appearance under a closed hood almost immediately once you squeeze the "GO" pedal.
