How are cars delivered to the Performance Center?

My dealer thought that they might be driven there individually from the port rather than trucked in - is he correct? That has me wondering what sort of delivery mileage I should expect with the PCD option...

We went through this concern back in my ship/order tracking days...

BMW VPC is in Greer, SC. BMWs (and Minis) arriving at the port are transported by rail to Greer (carrier: Norfolk Southern)...

Actually, the train cars are transported to a 'marshalling yard' in Charleston (Columbus Street Terminal) by the South Carolina Public Railroad system. At the marshalling yard, they cars are then routed/latched on to a Norfolk Southern train ride all the way to the VPC in Greer, SC.

The PC is right at the footsteps of the VPC.

Hope that helps

My 330i had 1 mile on it when I took Performance Center Delivery As already said, the VPC is across the street (highway really) from the PC. You can see more about my PCD at: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=162751
