Yeah, I'm sure Terry's car is a bit faster than yours in current form, but I would still hope to give him a good run at the airstrip. Guess we'll find out for sure in a couple of weeks. It can't come fast enough!!!

Terry mentioned on another board that he needed to drop boost a little given his slipping trans. So who knows...the two of you may be a good run.

Eric, I see you no longer have a 600 hp dyno sig. Was the 600 STD and the 583 in your sig SAE or uncorrected or did you re-dyno???

That 607whp/710wtq pull was done on the MD Automotive dyno, which as many will attest is a very friendly dyno. I've since dynoed at my regular local shop SpecialtyZ (same shop Terry @ BMS uses) with more average, repeatable results. So, in the interest of not exaggerating power, I've adjusted my sig accordingly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still VERY happy with the 583whp/678wtq SAE results. Curves still smooth as butter and a very safe AFR. Renntech FTW!

What kind of numbers do you expect when your tune adapts to 100 octane?

Just enough to beat you.

Probably another 15whp/20wtq, bringing me up to a legit 600whp/700wtq.

My gf thinks I've lost it. I bought another 335 a couple days ago and am in the middle of putting a big single turbo on it all in time for shift sector.

With your high power/weight ratio, I'm sure we will make a great run. What are your quarter mile traps?

120 on a lesser tune. I was keeping up with the tuned CLS at the last airstrip attack but I'm pretty sure your Renntech tune make a bit more power.

Holy crap that's a lot of torque

By comparison I'm only making ~ 300 RWTQ at 3,000 RPM which is less than half of what you are making at that point! Peak I made something like 360 RWTQ at redline (8,300).

Anyway I made 555 SAE / 567 uncorrected / 570 STD peak RWHP on a fairly optimistic dyno and I need to stay high in the RPM range to make any power. My car "feels" slow without any torque...it's a weird experience. It will be interesting to run a car like yours with a mountain of torque to see the outcome. I bet that unless I start in the perfect speed/gear, you will just take off like a rocket and I won't have any chance at catching you, even with 400 lbs less.

Does your car hook up on a 40-50 mph roll on start?

Just installed some new Michelin PSS yesterday on the rear to help with that. The stock Pirelli PZeros spun badly from a roll at that speed, but these PSS's seem to hold much better.

I don't know about you guys, but I can hardly do anything else but check the car forums and threads related to this upcoming event. I can't get any work done! I just sit at my desk dreaming about race day! Am I going to be ok?

My name is Eric, and yes, I'm addicted to Shift-S3ctor Airstrip Attack events.

You're not alone. I was just having a discussion with another local member last night, and we were joking about how this is an addiction. Hell, I sent Shiv an email asking if we have time before the event to squeeze any more power out of it.
