3D printed rear passenger sunshade tabs?

Greetings -

328xi, rear passenger full window sun shade screens, not 1/4 panel window screens. Right side had retracted back into the door as it appears previous owner's dog chewed off tab at top of screen.

Has anyone 3D printed replacements for these? Does anyone want to? Please.

That said, fixing the retracted screen roller was way easier than I anticipated. I had literally no luck in finding any sort of vids or guidance on what steps to take after removing door panel. Self-contained unit that releases from door via tabs, happy to help anyone who has run into this problem. Since no tab, I ran a couple of tabs of velcro in each of the hook holes at top of shade so that it cannot retract again back into window.

Though would very much like to keep OG aesthetic - smoker's package, cold weather. The missing tab is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance, cheers!

My wife's E91 328xi has the same problem on the left rear shade.

You can buy replacement tabs for the large shade.
I replaced both of mine using 2 new clips and a thin rod of the metal. I used the metal rod from a ball inflater. I cut off the end that connects to the hand pump.

Fish out the shade with an angled pick.
Side the rod into your new clip
Pry open the top of the shade plastic trim.
The trim has a a small slot where the rod will fit perfectly.
Test fit the rod to make sure it’s the correct length for the slot. (Cut to size)
Put crazy glue on the ends of the rod (none in the middle) and slide it into the slot on the shade.
Use a clamp on each end to keep the the shade trim shut until the glue dries.

Glue on the ends only lets the new tab rotate like oem.

Replacement tabs part number for rear door sunshade?

Is there a part number for the replacement tabs?

I haven't looked at mine, but can you use small black tie wraps?

That's what I did... works great! Keeps the screen from falling down into the door, and gives you something to grab onto.
