Caliper repair kit, need the cylinder?

I want to rebuild my rear calipers, I doubt it has ever been done, mileage 165k, should I buy a rebuild kit with the cylinder or just the rubber bits? I don't know if the metal cylinders wear out or not.

Also what are the good brands so I don't end up with some rubbish?

And also, where is a good place to buy them? It seems they are mostly out of stock if I look for a brand I know of (Brembo or ATE).
