Ista diagnostic help, all fault codes triggered(pics), battery wont charge.
Hello, here is the story. Went into store came out car would not crank. Replaced starter, cranks now but wont start. replaced throttle body Ran fine before. 2011 bmw also replaced battery, but didnt start, old battery was 4yro, but always worked fine. and was replaced while old battery was charged up. and when car died at store it still had power.
SO the new battery died using ISTA, i hooked up charger and the car makes a bunch of clicking noises under hood and the it only get a couple seconds of charge then the charger volts drop to zero and then jump backup higher then values set, car on and off repeatedly and after 5-10 mins the car turns off and has no power to it at all with charger hooked up for 5 mins and starts all over again. Seems to not want to take a charge and its brand new, The old Battery was doing the same thing that is why i got new one. When i hook up a jump pack to the from terminals i can get power for a bit to test and maybe clear fault memory and "register the battery, not sure. I got Insta+ hooked up to my car and get fault memory 143/143 fault codes -_- I have some pictures posted and video and log of operation report...... and picture of codes before new battery What i got from this is that it could be. Going to get a better multimeter and a test light check if engine is grounded(ground strap) and such. Try and reset faults, register battery, cut open case to look at the fuses in the integrated control module and then if none of that works.... Change the fuel pump control module Because before all these codes i had this fault 1F1A91 - DME , monitoring, 5V sensor supply 2: Voltage outside valid range. sometimes most of the codes disappear and these stays on. 199202- fuel low-pressure sensor, electrical : Short circuit to ground.
