MHD 2+ STFT variance, misfire and bank 2 plugs black

Hey folks,

Having an issue with my car. It runs absolutely fine, no rough idle, not noteable misfires and fine under WOT. With the exception of once last night where the engine management light came on and I got a fault for a misfire on 6. I’ve since run some logs (posted below) and after asking some advice elsewhere it looks like my STFT are way out on each bank with timing corrections as a result.

Today I smoke tested the exhaust and there we no leaking gaskets etc. I also pulled the plugs, bank 1 were fine but bank 2 very sooty / black.

FYI the car has new pre-cat o2s, new plugs, and new Delphi coils
Modifications wise it has a DCI, FMIC, catless DPs and secondary cats removed and running MHD Stage 2+.

Log 2 @ 95 RON (after some comments the first log was showing a little hot)

Your lean in Bank 2, have you checked for vacuum leaks?
Did you reset lambda adaptations after installing the new o2's?

Hey. Thanks for the reply.

Not checked for vacuum leaks no. Been looking more into the injector / o2 area.

I did, but was still chasing a misfire at the time (coil pack) - I’ve reset them again and done another log but it’s still the same

I would look at all the vacuum lines first, do a smoke test there as well and replace them as needed
Check MAP and MAF sensors located on the Charge Pipe and Intake Manifold, clean both of them.

It is possible that it could be o2 or Injector related but best to try the cheaper things first IMO

Been a while. But I’ve done that and fitted all new o2s and my fuel trims are still way off.

Did you clean your MAP/MAF sensors? Replace vacuum hoses?

If you did those and its still off then I would be looking at new injectors

Hey man Im kind of in the same boat as you, I also read a few others on here have the same problem and have been chasing it for a while even after throwing alot of hardware at it, one guy even bought new index 12's and still no change. My car runs solid with no ill manors or anything. Im getting a custom tune here soon after my hybrids and port injection go in so maybe that will shed some more light on this... I'll keep you in mind if I find a solution. Good luck!
