It's supposed to be a torch holder as well but yeah, BMW discontinued the bracket that is just for the USB port and only this one is available now
Actually it looks like the cable I ordered fits into my Aux bracket in the centre consol. So the glove box bracket might not be needed. Now I'm confused lol

I just saw that now. Yeah don't worry then you won't need this bracket since you putting your USB in the centre console

I fucked up, should have got the same USB port for mine as well, make my life easier instead of reaching into glovebox

Also another thing people the CIC fascia is the same part number as the CCC fascia.

Only reason why you would need to spend the money on the new fascia is if yours is the old shit MASK CCC which is I think from 3/07 and older as it is a different style and your headunit looks like the one in the pic. Otherwise if you have the better CCC then you don't need the new one

For reference if your headunit looks like this you don't need the fascia as yours will fit

Yup thats what I have

my existing trim is all scuffed from the previous owner (no idea how it got so badly scuffed as the interior was in mint condition elsewhere)

I think the one in the glovebox is only for map updates and copying music. The one in the centre console is to play music from the USB. This is based on the CIC, not sure if its the same on the NBT

NBT has combox built in so they can use whichever USB spot they want to I guess. Not 100% sure if they still need 2 ports or if 1 does everything with NBT

Good Q, AFAIK it would be able to be controlled from the 1 port but I'm not 100% sure...

I think someone needs to go to a dealer and just look inside a new f30 and see if it has one in the glovebox and centre console as well

Huh? Don't need this at all. USB/AUX goes in center console slot where current AUX port goes. I have spent 6070 emails back and forth with the seller about what is needed. For those of you who are actually in the GB, I'll move discussion into email about the other small things needed. Stop confusing people, GeTiNQ LOL

What plazski said. Can't update maps in centre console USB. Also can't stream video from glovebox USB in NBT if I remember correctly
