Will e90 lci sport seats be plug and play with no errors in a lci e91 that came with base seats?

To a degree I would say since you need to get power for the bolsters/lumbar support. The seats will certainly bolt on no problem.

The plugs will connect just fine. But depending on the options like heated vs. non heated and no bolsters on the standard ones means you need to do a bit of wiring.
Don't ask me about wiring because I'm trying to get all the info I can get for retrofitting F30 sport seats into my base E90 LCI seats... fun

The seats in my e91 now are heated and powered. The seats I’ll be swapping in are also heated and powered. Only thing I’d be concerned about is will the bolsters work?

Yes, that's pretty much it. Take a look at the pinouts here

They'll plug right in and work without issue I'm guessing. Wiring for the bolsters is built into the seat, so if the seat gets power, the bolsters will work.

I swapped LCI sport seats into my E91 LCI car with base non-sport heated seats. and all of the functions including heat, bolsters, and lumbar support work with no modification.

Update: seats worked perfectly with no need to splice any wires. Touched them up with an airbrush and they look brand new
