Hello to all of you.

I have an issue with the registration plate lightning in BMW E91 2006.

That issue happens when the 2 bulb housings are with regular bulbs in them.

The lighting housings are the OEM- ones.

I tried to replace them with an aftermarket LED with Canbus diodes.

The issue is that, when I replace bulbs with an open trunk, only the left one is on, the right is off, but when I close the trunk, both are on.

The frustrating in that is when I lock the car and all the lights are off, the right reg plate light stays on.

The behavior is the same with the OEM and the aftermarket ones.

The Error on the dash is - CC-ID 371

Possible wire issue? Check the wire loom at the hinges area. You will need to remove the rubber protector and see if there is some damage to the wires.
