Just ordered a Black series Eisenmann Race exhaust for the M yesterday...
They said I have to wait 4 weeks for it to be made over in Deutschland! This is going to be a long couple of weeks...

Dude that exhaust is going to sound awesome! At least be thankful that your exhaust probably won't arrive looking like this. I bought a used exhaust and there is a big crack right under the axleback hanger. Last time I buy a used part.

That sucks. Which exhaust system is it? If you take it to a muffler shop or someone who it good with welding, they could probably fix it for a reasonable price.

That's unfortunate Anvar, sorry man! There is always a risk with buying used parts for sure, but like you said live and learn. I'd say you can get that welded up though - doesn't look too bad from the pic.

These new ones sure as hell are bright, almost too bright. iDrive is cool, thought I haven't had a chance to play with it too much yet. Two things I noticed so far are that the ability to play with the airflow from each of the vents seems to be gone (though maybe I haven't found it yet) and the iPod random function will now randomly move thru the tracks when you hit next. It didn't do this in my 08.

Hey
Hi Fellas. I live in the Twin Cities and have been experiencing problems with my Real Time Traffic Information on my 2007 335i. Occasionally it works just fine, but more often than not, it doesn't. It will tell me "currently, no reception" or occasionally, I will get the TI icon on the iDrive screen but when I check to see if there are any traffic messages, it will say transferring messages, but it never will. This happens at all different hours, rush hour, non-rush hour, etc. This takes place in the heart of Minneapolis/St. Paul, where I should have good reception to the 5 stations that broadcast the data.
I took it to Minnetonka and the tech wrote "traffic only works if destination is input into navigation." Well that's obviously wrong, as it is supposed to work whether or not I am using the directions. I've tried to follow-up with them to see if they will double check that statement, or at least dig a little deeper to see if there's a problem. Let's just say they're not jumping all over it. For those of you who have iDrive, can you take a look and see if you are also having problems with the RTTI service? Perhaps it's the system in the Twin Cities and not just my car. I actually use the traffic info, as I basically drive diagonally through the Twin Cities to and from work everyday and, when it's working, it's easier than looking at my phone for traffic info. Thanks guys. |

Those sound very sweet on the internet clips links. I would love to see hear it in person when it's all done.

Well I can confirm that traffic works just fine for me, regardless of whether or not guidance is active. I have the newer iDrive though. Having never used the pre-09 system, I can't say if traffic should work without guidance active.
If it worked for you previously, I would take it back to BMW of Minn or maybe try Motorwerks? |

Dyno Day
To all of those who went to APS on Saturday, it was great meeting you. Some nice rides there.
Looking forward to seeing you guys again. If there is another one of these dyno sessions again, I'd like to get mine on there after a few tweaks...

Exhaust work
A lot of Audi folk have used the guy Chad. I've never used him but know of many who have and uniformly they heap praise on his skills and pricing.
He has made several/many custom design exhausts for people, and I think you should touch base with him and tell him your situation..... obv. you arent looking for a *full custom* exhaust, but if anyone can make the one you have work, it may be him: Chad Simonson Bee Line Alignment Service 27540 Forest Blvd. Wyoming, MN 55092 (651) 462-2650

I had the full Mtech kit painted and installed on my old E92 by Rogers Master Collision in Bloomington. They did an awesome job, absolutely flawless. Highly recommended! They do most of Motorwerks jobs, so they know their bimmers.
