N51 idles at 300-400 rpms

Hi guys, I have a question that isnt necessarily an issue. I have a 2012 328xi with the n51. When I do a cold start on my car it idles high like a normal car would for a few seconds, but then when the rpm drops, it drops to around 350 rpm and idles there. The car does not shake or anything, and I don't feel like I have had a loss of power. Everything still seems to be great. I have owned the car for around 4 months now and ever since I got it from the dealership, its done that. There is about 100,000 miles on her.

can't be 350 rpm. Are you sure you're reading it correctly?

Thats why I am confused. Usually a car would shake if its like under 500. But it is definetly reading 350. Most of the time it just holds steady at 300 actually, but seems to be running just fine

Pull codes. I don't see how the car wouldn't shake or at least exhibit some irregular noises/vibrations at such a low RPM.

Hook up cable and view live data with INPA.

All I have to check codes is FIXD OBD reader, and it didn't pull anything. However it isn't a very advanced OBD reader.

You need a BMW-specific scanner or cable.

Cheapest option is cable. Easiest option is ProTool or some other BMW-specific app. Can’t remember the options. You could also buy a handheld scanner but app probably makes more sense.

I would try with a scan tool just to verify.
