Exclamation Bluetooth Adapter Troubleshooting

2012 E91 here. 9/11 build, equipped with Combox ($6VC), USB/Audio Interface ($6FL), and BMW Professional Radio ($645) from factory.

I have tried using two separate Bovee / ViseeO products to stream audio without success. The WMA3000B paired with my phone, would output to AUX, but didn't interface with car. WMA1000 also pairs to phone, but the adapter still fails to interface thru USB. "iPod" has never appeared on the headunit when the adapter is plugged in.

Am I missing something here? Troubleshooting provides no results. My legacy iPod, iPhone 12, and wife's iPhone SE interface seamlessly when plugged directly into the USB. Charging port on phone is dead, so that's not an option anymore. Also, I have songs in the native iPhone music library. Just refuses to sync.

Basically, the adapter doesn't emulate the iPod (or the car is being picky). Could this be a coding thing? Fresh outta ideas...

No streaming with a Pro Radio even though you have a combox.
You have to have idrive with the right software as far as I know.
Most of the adapters you mention use the Aux for the music.
USB should be able to play music.
I understand with the lighting cable it still used the aux to play the music.

Mr12volt makes this adapter used to be cheaper .
Uses the Most Bus CDC interface.
Does USB
and streaming and phone.

Just as you said, the Pro Radio won't accept a2dp Bluetooth integration thru the car's native systems. Given.

What I'm not understanding is why the car will acknowledge an 'iPod' if hooked directly w/ lighting (or 30 pin) to USB-A cable, yet won't sync with the Bluetooth adapter. Especially since both ViseeO / Bovee adapters are specifically marketed as seamlessly integrating iOS products w/ radio, steering wheel controls, etc.

Even if the car can't stream Bluetooth adapter audio thru the car's iPod interface, shouldn't it at least 'handshake' with the vehicle? The WMA3000B, which outputs audio to AUX, still wouldn't give me steering wheel controls - the biggest selling point imo.

Sounds like options are limited if the Bluetooth adapter won't interface properly w/ Pro Radio…

As I recall there was a procedure for adding the ipod adapter that required
a software change.

That's for the OEM one .

There were some big threads here on the WMA3000 when it came out .
