Regarding that dry-ice blasting, I need to find someone local to blast one of my cars. We moved to South FL from Ohio a few years back....

As a dealer he probably buys a lot of the cars at Mannheim or other dealer-only auction houses. It's such a niche market that most dealers back off when this guy comes out of the blue bidding $10k on an E91 where a comparable E90 would sell for half that.

Clearly an arrangement that BaT takes ALL of his cars and he buys and flips as quick as he can. His detail guy and photographer are what make the auction imho.

I am a niche car dealer in PA and watch Manheim and all surrounding auctions for E91s among many other cars and rarely ever see any going through. Maybe 5 a year. He has to be sourcing them locally from private sales.

That's wild. He's def scooped up quite a few private sales. I wonder how the big auto groups handle their trade-ins now. I worked at a family owned dealership in the early 2000's and we had a couple wholesalers we'd always call on certain cars so they'd almost never make it to the auction. One guy would buy 90% of the Porsches we had traded in, for example.

His cars are just something he buys for cheap from a private seller in need of money or whatever, fixes visible issues and with some nice pictures he gets a sucker to buy it from him at a 5k mark up on BaT.

I don't hate the hustle but i expected BaT to have some sense of quality as they have denied many members here from posting on their site with WAY nicer e91s.

Unfortunately BaT isn't what it used to be. Over the years it has become driven more and more by profit and the quality of the cars have gone down. Hopefully we see this fix in carsandbids as I have high hopes for that auction site to succeed.

Looks well used and well loved. It's priced fairly, I paid in that ballpark for my automatic 07 with similar miles. It would make a good daily if maintenance is up to date, the headlights could sure use restoration or replacement and the wheels look curbed.

What's with the black strip on the sides?

Tell Me About It

1600veloce. Hell, with all the cars he sells on BAT, they won't take a car from an individual that might encroach on his cars.

For all of you who are looking for a manual wagon, I've listed one on here on the "For Sale" thread similar to the one currently on BAT - except that mine is a manual. I've sorted the car over the past three years because I hate it when things don't work as designed. Even the silly cupholders - the springs of which broke.

Anyway, if I kept this car, I would have resprayed the hood and front bumper. On our '11 wagon, I changed out both bumpers, steering wheel, and sills to M sport. Installed a UUC short shifter, 18" summer tire, and changed out the shocks to KONIs. The car is AWESOME. Again, I suggest the new owner do at least the M steering wheel, wheels, and short shifter. Anyway, I love these cars and if someone doesn't offer a reasonable price, I'll probably do the work.

Perfect upkeep

In spite of the high miles, someone will do well with his car - the owner has done everything right, better than by the book.

Hi,

Great thread, this got me interested in e91s to begin with. I bought a e91 xDrive 6MT Tiefsee Blau/Beige couple months ago (Sport, Cold weather, iDrive, Harman Kardon etc) with 96k and finished up doing all the necessary preventative work on these cars (water pump, valvecover gaskets, ECC sensor, coils, all fluids, new zimmerman drilled rotors, brembo pads etc). Bought it from the 2nd owner who puchased it as a CPO from BMW almost new. I was wondering what you guys thought this would be worth realistically on the private market? Possibly looking to sell later on

18-20 for the right buyer? Beige isn't as desirable ans harder to swap interiors since it requires dash and center console trim too.

I would agree with BlueM3Wagon but you also have to consider it would possibly be less because of xDrive and beige interior. Maybe $15k unless you get it on Bring a Trailer somehow. They are selling like hot cakes right now.
