I’m likely listing my ‘10 RWD manual sport (not M-sport) within the next couple weeks. Was thinking of submitting to one of the auction sites, but would also like to avoid that hassle.

I recently went with BaT to sell a bike. For some reason Ducati's do quite well on that site. For me it was completely a positive experience. I got to talk a bunch about my bike. I didn't have to deal with strange interactions like I might through Craig's List, although I did let one bidder see the bike. The winning bidder paid me via wire within two days, and then came to my home to pick it up. Was way simpler than dealing with AutoTrader, and I am 100% confident I got all of the money out of it. Actually got more than expected.

E91's do well on BaT, especially with a MT. You'll definitely get the market value out of it. I have another car I'll be submitting to them in about a month.

Anyone in the PNW looking for a wagon on a budget? 2007 BMW 328i Sport Pkg RWD, ~136kmi. Make me an offer!

Bought with ~128k just under two years back. Service history isn't perfect but carfax shows it's been looked after regularly. PPI done by German Master Tech in Bend, OR.
I don't need to sell it, but recent life changes mean I don't drive much, planning to downsize to a one-car family to focus on other things.

Photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/6fj9cHEiGf2DaWuTA

Recent Maintenance:
- Michelin Pilot A/S 4s (95% tread)
- Full corner balance/alignment from racing suspension shop, suspension bushings all in great shape
- Trans fluid (2x) / filter change
- Oil / filter change
- Fresh engine and cabin air filters
- Radiator flush
- New coolant reservior
- Replaced oil filter housing gasket
- Hatch struts replaced
- Misc lightbulbs
- OEM Bosch battery replaced by dealer before I bought it (~2.5yrs old)

Includes a load of new parts from FCP Euro for complete refresh:
- All coolant hoses
- Waterpump kit
- Valve cover/gasket set
- Engine and trans oil pan gaskets
- Engine and trans mounts
- Driveshaft flex disc and bearing
- Power steering fluid reservoir
- Various trim clips and fasteners
- Serpentine belt
- Others I'm forgetting

Disclosures:
- Though PPI gave a good review for the trans, it does flare shift a bit, mostly cold condition. May just be mech seals or worn valve body
(low mile 128i trans are plentiful and cheap, or candidate 335i swap)
- Few rock chips on the frontend
- One shallow dent on driver's side rear door about 6" (guessing ball strike in a parking lot)
- Few more minor dings and scratches (see photo detail in yellow circles)
- Moonroof shade headliner sag, easy fix for upolstry shop.

2011 328i xDrive E91

For sale is a 2011 BMW 328i xDrive E91. It has 85,4xx miles at the time of writing, which will increase until it is sold since it is my daily driver. The car is in excellent mechanical condition, with a few minor cosmetic blemishes you would expect from an 11 year old vehicle. I am asking $17,000, open to offers.

Notable features with codes from mdecoder.com:
Completely stock, no performance modifications
Seat adjustment, electric, with memory (S459)
Seat heating driver/passenger (S494)
Panorama glass roof (S402)
Headlight cleaning system (S502)
Light package (S563)
Steering wheel heater (S248)

Maintenance
59,000 miles - Water pump replaced “proactively” by previous owner.
Oil changes every 5000 miles
67,000 miles – Drive belt, tensioner, and idler pulley replaced with Contitech Drive Belt Kit
80,000 miles - New Pirelli P Zero All Season tires
80,000 miles – new DieHard 850 CCA H7-AGM Battery
85,000 miles – New Front Akebono ceramic brake pads & Zimmerman rotors

Here is a link to a Google Drive folder with pictures: https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...5n?usp=sharing

I am happy to provide more pictures of the car or a CarFax upon request, and I have kept a detailed record of all the maintenance I’ve done myself. Please send a PM if interested. Thanks!

Need some advise from the E91 crew;

Moving back across the pond later this year and time to sell all of my metal.

I have a 2012 328xi (manual gb) w/around 68,800 some odd miles on the odometer. I am the third owner & she was bought to be our ski resort/national park hauler. Silver over black model w/sport seats, in super nice condition and all up to scratch. Valve cover gasket, valve cover, water pump/thermostat, serpentine belt, oil change, transfer case flush, brakes, alignment, etc all done fairly recently.

I've added a split armrest, euro light switch, sport seats (coded and all functions operate), weather tech mats throughout, undercoated w/wool wax, new set of studded Nokian Hakka's w/maybe 500 miles on them and a set of Conti's w/about 5k miles on them.

She's lived in the Northeast, the South and now back in NH. She is not rusty, only rust showing is on some bolts. We had her out a total of 4 times this winter, she's garaged and very well taken care of like the rest of our cars (clay barred, waxed, detailed). I'm in my 50's and am OCD about everything.

Question is, what should I expect to get for her ? I was thinking $21k, what are everyones thoughts ?

I think your path to greatest return is BringATrailer. Any e91 with manual transmission is going to do well out there. This one has great miles and you have made some desirable upgrades. I think $21k might be a stretch without m-sport, but you'll get the market price on BaT.

Underbody rust on a 2011 and opinion

Hi enthusiast
After hunting for months I thought I found the e91 wagon and wanted your expertise with regards to the underbody condition of this vehicle
Given it's a 2011, there no expectation for it to be concourse condition but trying to gauge all the expenses that I might incur on purchasing this vehicle
PPI resulted in all new tires valued at $1k
Oil pan gasket replacement valued at $2k
I suspect the control arms and tie rods along with the associated bushing might need to be done as preventative.
Looking for all your expertise in. Asking you'll to help me decide should I pursue further
Please find a few pictures from the PPi.

The rust is less of an issue then the actual bushing condition. I would expect if those are original the rubber is dry rotted by now, but the extent of how bad they are should have been covered in the PPI. If there was excessive play or any kind of knocking they'd need to be done immediately. I just bought a 2011 that was a Michigan car most it's life and the PPI stated they need replacement, but driving the car at 7-8/10ths still feels generally fine, so it's lower on my list. They'll start making a lot of noise and have a lot of play when they're really worn.

FCP sells replacement kits that are fairly affordable and not the hardest thing to DIY.

These kinds of things I would expect to see in an eleven year old e91. If you like the car, at least now there is no guess work about what needs to be addressed.

I just bought an e92 with 17k miles on it. Nothing too expensive to address, but I did have some age-related items like deteriorating plastics and cracked original tires. Always going to be something.

@ppointer & Cyberdemon
Thank you for your input. I did have an extensive call with the shop that did the PPi and no red flags as such other than the tires and the oil pan gasket. With that said I'm using some reference cars from BaT, like @Biggins e91 to understand the potential items getting rusty and comparing it to the vehicle I intend to purchase. I have been told by the PPi shop as well as the selling dealer that the cars right and no known sounds as such.
I wanted to order the tires from tire rack and have them replaced by the selling dealer but he raised concerns about TPMS seizing given all the salt they use in MN. This raises a lot of concerns about other parts that have surface rust and need replacement over time like the Control arms Tie rods etc which might be a PiTA should it need to be replaced in the near future.
The good thing is I have all the service records for everything addressed in this vehicle given it's a one owner.
Could someone chime on the oil pan gasket replacement costs and if we need to remove the CV axles to perform the task.
I'm very grateful to all the insights I receive from this platform to make an informed decision
Thank you🙂🙏🏼

TPMS sensors are cheap to replace and if they're original probably do it anyways. Mine are original and the batteries are very flaky. Get lots of intermittent warnings when cold because the batteries are near the end of life.

Undercarriage rust might make hardware removal an issue, but most those bolts are easily replaceable even if the bolts have to be heated or broken off. If you're replacing the whole control arms shouldn't be a big issue. Underbody rust on the panels or rear 3/4s is a bigger concern for salt state cars.

TPMS seizing? That's a new one for me. The important parts are inside the wheel. Anyway, I agree with Cyberdemon that they are cheap to replace, and ten years is about the limit to their batteries. I spent less than $400 including labor to replace all four on my e91 last year.
