Maybe I might get them in the rear only.... or is that a bad idea.
I scored a couple 235/19/35 MPSS for the front and went halves with my buddy on a complete set of 255/35/19 so that we could get the rebate. I'm loving the rake with the additional meat in back. All in was $600 USD (+$100 for mounting & balancing).

If I was going for a cheaper set of tires for my summer wheels I would go with Conti DWs in front and Indy 500s in back, although I've read the latter aren't great in the rain/cold.

Hmm okay I might look into it.

Because right now I'm rocking a cheap Chinese tire but it works really well performance wise on the street.

Rears are 265/35/19 and they are like 80$ each. Lexani LX20. The only problem is I've had my rear new installed in like February and now they're almost already done.

My fronts though are Lexani LX20 as well and are coming up on 2 years and I think they have plenty of thread left. So I think it's just when I do slides and donuts but I didn't do that much with my Lexani tires so I don't understand. My rear thread just melts.

I just put Pilot Super Sport 4S's on a few weeks ago and I have to agree, SUCH a huge improvement in handling and comfort.

I would buy my Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires again. They ride great, look great and price is incredible.

Same, just put 1500 miles on all 4 of them and love the extra traction and confidence on turns.

From what I have read, the IS sounds the same or better then the PE mod.

Man that's what I think but reading on it extensively I can never find a conclusion on the subject, especially considering the IS vs PE muffler has different part numbers.

I guess I'll leave it be... but I'm sure it's not straight pipes inside my muffler box and probably perforated.

I'd leave it be. The sound of the 335is muffler is very similar to PE, so not sure the PE mod would do anything. Regular 335 exhaust is a different story.

On another note, I finally got my resonators in last night. I haven't been able to open her up yet though, still waiting on my replacement knock sensor.

Yeah... but I think our car straight pipe sounds good. If I could straight pipe inside the muffler it could still look legal ish. But yeah I think I'll leave it be lol.

Nice how do you like it so far.

I disagree, I think our cars straight piped sounds ricey and raspy and it sounds like any other N54 out there. Its why I put a resonator and kept the mufflers on because the IS tone and even the PE tone are different then a straight pipe.

I haven't had much of a chance to hear it, the main reason I went this route was to get rid of the high RPM rasp. It sounds great when revving, but the sound under load isn't as refined as I was expecting. I like the lower rumble and it's only slightly louder than what I was hoping for. I don't notice any smell when I'm driving, but it was noticeable after I parked. No drone on the highway which was nice.

The knock sensor issue is advancing my timing and causing my AFRs to run a tad rich (~13.5), so I need to get that sorted out. Probably not helping the smell.

It's just I would like it louder. By straight pipe I still meant having the resonators in the line.

My buddy has a 328i I think it's straight pipe and I've never heard a car sound this good. It's crazy how good it sounds I can't believe it.

Yeah I get what you mean. It doesn't bother me as much since it sounds more E46 M3 rasp than rice rasp now IMO. Like it's still a high note but not ear piercing you know.

Posting here since maybe it's a IS issue... ppl with rear diffusers does it fit wrong/with a gap or is it probably just my diffuser quality the problem?

Most of the time carbon parts have to be "adjusted" to make them fit good.

Who is the manufacturer?

It's en ebay one lol. They offering me 50$ back. I think I might make a hole in the tabs and then pass a zip tie to pull it in.

When you say have to be adjusted is it sanding/grinding it off or?

I would say whatever it takes to make it fit, be sanding, grinding, or flexing.

For my Arkym front lip, I had to push really hard to flex it into place and drive screws through it.

Oil Leaks ?

My car is very low mileage, ie., under 28k, but several months ago I noticed an oil leak and upon inspection, it appeared to be coming from the oil pan. I took it into the dealer who told me that it would cost $2500 to repair. Whatever the dealer did the car has not leaked since. I did not have the repair done and paid about $165 for the inspection, but the leak has stopped. What oil leaks if any have you had with this car?

Anyone replace their headlight washer covers? I looked inside and dont see the washer, unless the whole thing popped out with the cover. I bought a new cover on ebay but no idea how to attach it aside from glueing it on.

Its a dummy cover to keep the production costs low. Unless you have cold weather package your headlight will not have washers.
