I don't know if you can notice but parts of the side of the car has been sanded and buffed out once, we're going to go over a couple more time. But you can tell from the reflection that there is less waviness. That's one of my main critique of this car, how can you spend this kind of money and have such a horrible paint finish is beyond me. I bet most people don't even notice such fault it's a shame.

Looks like you guys are making some progress with the fenders.

Mine went into the shop for the M5 knob wiring this morning. Will probably be done on Thursday or Friday.

I talked to the BMW Master Tech at the shop and he understands that I wanted each individual light to light up as I roll through the gears. They're looking up the diagrams to make sure we hook up the correct wires. I like the leather of the M5 knob and am considering replacing my Alcantara shift / e-brake boots with leather ones.

Your ride is gonna be a very tricked out one when everything is done.

Carbon fiber bootlid came in today.
My impression of the trunk they were wonderfully done but with flaws. I have double sided carbon fiber and if you are on the edge of which to choose to be honest it might not be worth getting double side. The reason is it seems like they rush the job on the inside or perhaps thinking you were going to cover it anyways. Many scratches and white marks.
The top side is very nicely done but needs to be buffed to take out the swirl marks. Just like letting the dealer wash your car.
But either way props to jlevisi, they did all you can ask for.

Nice trunk! I can't wait to see and lay hands on the E90 version.

I agree that Vorsteiner doesn't pay as much attention to non-exposed parts. I ordered a CF engine cover from them and I was appalled by how dirty it was when it arrived...... However, the craftsmanship of Vorsteiner is top notch though despite the little imperfection.

This is looking sick.

are you painting the trunklid, or leaving the CF exposed?
