Ordered Jet Black/Terra 328is Step/SplitRearSeat/iPod on Saturday, Feb 23rd.
1.800.831.1117 updated at some point between 10AM EST this morning and now to say that
my car is in production with a scheduled completion date of March 5th.
The Owner's Circle info is still at the "On Order" stage, so I'm not able to parse my VIN yet.

I'm not sure this constant monitoring is going to be good for my mental health...

that's fast! I ordered mine on the 11th and still have no production date in any of the systems. They tell me I am week 10 but i would think it would have a date if it was next week.

I found it good for my mental health. I discovered lots of excited and helpful people during the 3 months since I ordered my first car. I had to reorder it so I lost a month. Plus I learned a great deal about how to track it.

But there's no way around it - ordering a car from Germany and waiting for it is the ultimate exercise in delayed gratification. It's been rough.

I know some of you have heard week 10 starts next week, but my dealer told me week 10 started on March 10. She said this is because the production weeks always start on a Monday. December 31, 2007 was a Monday, so January 1-4 was actually part of week 52 from 2007. If you count the weeks starting with Monday, January 7 (the first Monday in 2008), week 10 begins on Monday, March 10.

Typically your status will change to Scheduled for Production 3 days prior to production beginning.

I hope my dealer is wrong and week ten is next week. I suppose we'll find out soon!

It was a pleasant surprise to find the Owner's Circle info on my car apparently updated on a Saturday. Nice. Parsing my VIN with an "F" in the 11th position means the car is being produced in Munich. Want to take this whole watchful waiting thing a bit too far?

My car just changed status from order to scheduled last night. It went into production and is scheduled to complete on the 8th.

Your dealer does not know what she is talking about. Week 10 production begins March 3rd, I have seen the production calender.

Mine entered the paint shop this morning. Should be completed tomorrow.

I guess I can use hunter's progress as an indicator for how long I'll be waiting for a ship since I'm only a couple of days behind in production.

I just ordered my car on 3/4/08. When I got home to check the owners circle page. It listed my car as wrong color, transmission, packages, and everything. Will this change? I don't want to call the dealer and be annoying, but I also don't want a sparkling graphite metallic with steptronic either after waiting until May.
