I think in 4 months there will be other competitors to choose from. Would have been nice to get it sooner though.

Hopefully we'll see these in late August, but with DD, anything is possible.

Shelling out hundreds of dollars to have a few rings brighter doesnt make sense to me.

The LEDs seem to look pretty good but when the GP thunder is priced at less than 1/10th of the price, it will be very hard to shell out that much more dough.

by looking at the photos and the heatsinks it's one master piece if you compare with other markers.
I was told the development cost was very expensive; especially the LEDs cost and the CNC heatsink; and other small computer chips that control the LEDs. I would love to see more update photos from DD's; if they can compare the GT thunder side by side. I'm sure a lot of you will change your minds. |

Blistex, have you seen the GP Thunder 7500k in the daylight compared to DD? There's a noticeable but not a $300 difference. Even at $150 it's pushing it. Sure it might be worth $300 but when there are sub $50 alternatives that are pretty damn close it's hard to justify it.

Saw the GP Thunders 7.5k and 8k in direct sunlight. They look as invisible as my PIAA LEDs, but with a yellow hue. Let's face it, it's a halogen bulb, no matter how much coating there is on the bulb, it's bound to show some yellow in direct sun light.

300 bucks? no thanks. i understand the level of development that went into this but i can still point out areas where it's not *perfect*
if these were the best rings on an e92 anyone has ever seen or will see MAYBE $300 is reasonable, but for marginally better rings than the $20 gp's...that's tough. i think people learned their lesson with piaa...spend your $300 on an lip. |

id take the leap for $300. I think they look perfect, maybe not 20 x's better then GP's based on the price but to have 2 fully bright white rings during the daytime I'd do it.

As Kev said Stock are brighter than GT: DD is brighter than Stock. You make the calls Halogen bulb cannot produces the same color or lumen as the LEDs. |

I would like to know what the big deal is about the GP Thunders. They look like complete ass. They are every bit as shitty looking as their price tag reflects. I have had them. How you guys can compare those to what these guys are showing in the pictures is beyond me. I think some of you are legally blind.
