Detailed it this weekend
so i had my car coated with 4 coats, 2 gtehnic csl and two exo v3 two years ago. so this weekend i wanted to do mini detail to refresh 2 years old ceramic coating. This was just one step polish with carpro essense plus.
1.started with wheels, tires, wheel wells, used sonax wheel cleaner and APC for tires and wheel wells 2. rinse the car and spray carpro ironX and let it sit for 10 minutes. 3. i use 6 wash mitts, soaked them in bucket filled with water and lots of soap 4. wash the car with soapy mitts while irnxX was sat for 10 minutes. my car was not dirty to start with, so i was not afraid to rub soapy mitts against paint. 5. i didn't need to do claybar since paint so silky. rinse and dry 6. wipe the entire car with carpro eraser to remove any protection and leave the surafce for carpro essence plus to bond with paint. 7. inspect the paint to find spots with swirls, polish the entire car including glass, windows with carpro essence plus polish, 8. dress tires with carpro perl. 9. below pics are not finished product but i will include them later and also on next wash, i will apply carpro reload to do extend the life of essence plus and ceramic coating. enjoy the reflections of gas station off the paint and sorry for phone quality pics Last edited by MEN54; 08-18-2019 at 09:38 AM.. |

Well done, I always start detailing from the wheels and tires because these are the dirtiest part. However, as an environment lover, I prefer to use two-buckets method for a wash. By the way, how often do you apply car wax and polish? After how much time?

And I agree with your method.. I start with soaking the car.. Then wash the wheels.. Rinse wheels and soak car again.. Then wash using the 2 bucket method. Personally I wax every 2 moths or so. Clay maybe once or twice a year.. Never allow my cars to get filthy so claying is not really necessary. I usually clay after the winter season comes to an end. |

So what is the plan with Essence Plus?
Ride it out and polish/recoat? or just reapply when needed. It doesn't last but maybe 3 months. ECH20 for rinseless and ECH20/Reload mix are simply wonderful. My faves at the moment. That gas station warrior detail is unreal |

Props to you for getting the work done at a gas station!
Your thread inspired me so I bit the bullet, put in about 6 hours detailing my paint. Wheels, strip, decontamination, compound, wipe down and wax. Was exhausting and I still have some work to do. My car doesn't look as good as yours but I'm very, very happy with the results! Thanks for the motivation! |

no wonder why your paint doesnt pop, Angelwax Regenerate is compound and its not a real polish, so i would suggest to buy Carpro Essence and use polishing pad and polish entire car and after coat it with Carpro Reload, you will see magic after using both products

please note that before polishing the car with carpro essence, wash car, wipe the rubbing alcohol to remove wax and compound left over layer and then polish it, wipe and apply reload, you must read about how to apply both products. there is ton of info online.
