I'm getting the fallowing codes, does anyone know what they mean?
2013 335i N55

EWD DME Interface fault
Terminal 87_1 No Voltage,
O2 Sensor heating after catalytic activation short circuit to earth
Wastegarte Shorted to earth

So I figured it out, it was simple. I found a blown 20 amp fuse, so my thinking is terminal 87 was missing voltage and it was common to both O2 sensors and the waste gate control. Put a new fuse in and the codes cleared.

that's exactly it. terminal 87 on a relay is for the voltage source.
30 is load
85-86 are the coil.

I'd check for o2 sensor wires that are damaged. sometimes they short on the manifold.

That's correct for the coil, but I think you will find you have 30 & 87 reversed. Relay Pin #30 or Terminal 30 is Battery (unswitched) power. Relay Pin #87 or Terminal 87 is output at pin 87 of relay when coil activated and relay contacts are closed, connecting Pin #87 to Battery Power (Pin #30).

If you look at TIS circuit diagrams, when there is "30" above a fuse, it's Battery powered (NOT relay-switched), and when "87" is above the fuse, it is "Relay-activated." As example, here is the O2 Sensor circuit for your 2008 328xi; NOTE the "87" above the symbol for fuse F38 (30A):

Here is the F38 circuit diagram (for your 2008 328xi) that shows the entire power supply circuit, including the DME Relay (K6300) that supplies power to the F38 socket in the JB.

I'm NOT sure what fuse OP is talking about, or WHAT the actual codes were (he just gave Code Definitions & NOT actual codes). The TIS circuit diagram shows the two O2 Sensor heaters (pre-cat & post-cat) both powered by the DME and NOT a dedicated fuse (he didn't give fuse #, JUST 20A rating. Perhaps he looked at an N54 schematic?

Fuses are Downstream of the relay (pin #87), or between the relay and the "load" or electrical component, as the relay is supplied with battery power. Can't learn much from this thread to date, except maybe that we need to learn how to find & read TIS circuit diagrams.

Sorry to bring an old thread back but where was this 20 amp fuse you found? Same thing happened to my car today and in the white electrical box, there aren't any brown fuses
