Ipod Problem...need help

I searched and found similar issues, but not the exact problem I'm having.

I have an 08 e92 335i (non-navi) and I purchased an OEM ipod y-cable.

Everything works perfectly fine with my 120Gb Ipod classic, but I noticed that when it gets colder outside (~40 Degrees F or lower) my ipod will just stop randomly and it'll say "loading..."

I can manually push play on the ipod and it works thru AUX but then i have no control.

So far the only remedy i have is to just unplug the USB and plug it back in and it works....until it stops again.

Its getting very annoying...anyone else experience this?

It sounds like the iPod's battery is old and draining 100%. Mine occasionally does this as well. I just have to manually turn the iPod on and it is fine thereafter for the drive.

No, the battery is always fully charged if i ever do pull it out to check it... :/

For some reason I only experience this when its fairly cold outside. (I live in Texas 40's is cold for us lol)

Maybe i have a faulty cable?

I too live in Texas! Man, this has been a crazy winter!!!

Mine does this about 1/10 times. I bet it's a common issue.... Let's see what others say.

God I wish it was 40 degrees here! Here in Ohio, we're excited that it's getting up to 35 today! I'm getting the iPod adapter soon so I'd be curious to know why this happens.

My 5th gen iPod classic starts up just fine with my ipod connection(even in single digits). I would say try a restore of the device and then see if you still have the problem.

BTW, I HATE YOU FOR SAYING 40's is ANYWHERE NEAR COLD.
