So, I spoke w/ Michael Coleman yesterday(the GM). He wanted to know how many signed up. So I explained that before the thread got jinxed, we had 40 or so. By looking at the size of other events, most times twice as many come as those who had signed up.
They are planning to have a large grill, for burgers, dogs, sausage, and such. not to mention all the go withs to that.
The bays will be open, and techs will be there as well, if someone wants to have a diagnostic check done on their car.
They also plan to have several Porsche on hand for us to see. I believe an area of their parking lot will be set aside for us to park all our cars together.
So remember it all stars at 11:00 am, 2 Saturdays from now. 09/25/10

Great news, this sounds like it'll be quite an event.

Think the techs would help me with signing off on a tech inspection form? I'm attending an event at Summit Point the next weekend with Trackdaze. It's pretty simple stuff and usually only takes about 15 mins.

I can't see why not. They did mention free diagnostic checks for anyone who is interested.

Met w/ Michael Coleman (GM) yesterday and things are shaping up nicely. Talked about clearing out the parking lot to the north of the shop. Giving everyone plenty of room to park.
Al, the service writer on loan from Towson suggested having the wheel repair guy there, as well as someone from Dent Wizard. Both will demo their skills.

Preliminarily, Saturday's weather in Bel Air looks solid with a high of 76, low of 59 and mostly sunny skies. For the detailers, the days leading up to the meet are also projected to be dry.

I'll be departing prior to 3 p.m. to watch the PSU/Temple game (either at home or in Bel Air) then I'm considering the Gentlemen's Gold Club in Baltimore to celebrate the Monday birthday.

That sounds like a great plan. I have a hard time getting the glitters off the leather seats. All the detailing gurus out there, any suggestions ?

We are a go for passing out any BMW CCA brochures, ChapterFest fliers, applications, etc. on Saturday at the BMW Bel Air Event.
They promise they won't throw you out. What were they going to do anyway, call the Police.
