Well, I hate to do this but it has to be done, I've ordered this filter from Ebay.co.uk vendor Asvela1995. It came in soaked in oil, the plastic bag where it was shipped in was dripping with oil. When trying to wipe it off a bit with a paper towel, the black coating on top of the black gauze just comes loose with only very light pressure. Imagine that junk coming into your turbo's or engine.

Neither Asvela of Pipercross UK is willing to refund me or send a new one, I've learned my lesson and the filter goes right into the garbage can.

Yeah, I know, from with I've read on forums you guys seem really good. Too bad I live in europe and the import taxes on US products are ridiculous...

That black coating coming loose is really weird, but it's dangerous using such filter in your car. It came in a blank box with no pipercross logo, so I maybe even suspect it's a replica or something...

Sounds like a replica or a defective product.


All the vendor had to do (if they were an authorized dealer) was contact Pipercross and they would have taken care of the issue right away.
