Hello. I have a base hifi and i bought an individual speaker and tweeter for my front door. When i swapped them its either only the speaker or the tweeter works but not both. Any idea why? I also have a jl audio xd600/6v2 amp

What's the exact year of your car?
Can you verify you have option 676 which is Hi Fi ?
and not the Base system issued in years 2010 to 2011.5?
The 676 has a built in crossover in the tweeter line in the form
of a capacitor.
Don't know what individual audio has.

Did you get the crossover with the speakers? That is also needed to work properly.

2008 m3, m3post is not helping me too much thats why i came here.

the individual one is the premium sound option for the m3. i believe its called eps. on the "individual" tweeters, it has this

Does anyone know how these Individual Crossovers are originally attached inside the doors? I googled for an image but could not find anything.
