1M Front Bumper
Did anything ever come of the folks interested in the 1M Bumper for e92? I know Game picked up a few pre LCI but wasn't able to sort out a group buy for them. Were folks still interested in this?

If you guys are interested in setting up a groupbuy (but keep in mind it was unsuccessful when I tried), I can give you the suppliers contact info.

Yeah that's where I hit the snag. The bumpers would need to be delivered via sea freight...being from the midwest as I see you are, would not make that possible.

Who knows. It'll all depend on how many you order, customs fees, shipping fees and etc etc.

I'll provide more information as I get it guys regarding pricing so stay tuned.
Price per bumper + lip: To be determined. I am working on negotiating a bulk order price I have a colleague in NYC who can receive shipments and send them out to buyers. I'm hoping something to the tune of $800 for both but this will depend on negotions with the supplier. Shipping costs: Just to get these things to the US and past customs is ~ $150 per bumper and they have to be purchased in bulk. I don't know what freight shipping costs based on location but am happy to use whatever is the cheapest reliable method to get them to everyone safely. Fitment: I've only seen fitment of the pre LCI bumper from Game's car. From what I saw fitment of the pre LCI looks great (Game feel free to chime in on any fitment issues you had when you installed. For LCI members, my plan going forward with company will be to have one unit sent to the US and I will use my own car as test vehicle so that we have guaranteed good fitment for both pre LCI and LCI members. Moving forward, please list your name if you're interested in seeing this work. Please PM me privately if there is a price point where you would no longer be interested in buying so I'll know up front (i.e. I'm in if the bumper+lip costs $800 including shipping, but not if it comes to over $1200). I'm currently working to negotiate pricing for 21 pre LCI and 9 LCI bumpers based off previous interest in the forums. If I can get these slots all filled up as soon as possible, I'm hoping that will open up an opportunity to finally get these things flowing into the US. As far as I understand, the manufacturer already has a decent supply of units in stock so it shouldn't take long for them to come in and send out just in case anyone is worried that I'm secretly Andrey from MME. Feel free to have Bimmete run my records, I'm not Albanian and I make my cash from working 9-5. Last edited by DoctoRx; 06-10-2015 at 09:29 PM.. |

There's a local member I met recently who has a 99% perfect fitting 1M style bumper and lip. I'll find out where he obtained his from.

I'm definitely interested in this. I would love to not have to pay $2K+ (ltmotorwerks price).

I was in contact with the seller and he said $480 just for the bumper plus like $300 for delivery to the closest port to me, which was Baltimore. I asked him about multiple pieces and it reduced each bumper by like $5-10 up to 5 bumpers total. Same on the lip, which I was interested in. The real costly issue is the additional freight for a group buy.

Pm me your email, i can send you a couple pricelists if you want. The one im looking right now is 350 per bumper, the shipping is approx 200 if its only one bumper and its by sea freight. a bigger shipment will always be cheaper per bumper as you rent partial space.

Although I recently got my 08 e92, I've been craving the 1M bumper style. I noticed it was said that the product wouldn't be polypropylene, if not, then fiberglass? I'm really not too fond of fiberglass lol. But if there is a group buy on this. I'm definitely interested. Just gonna keep tabs on this so I can find out more.

Also, FYI, if the product is fiberglass or FRP, you will be competing against Duraflex prices.

If it is really PP, I am SO in! I hope you can get some more people interested in the group buy!! It would probably help if you could get your manufacturer to send pictures.

Guys, I'm sure it's no secret. I assume it's the same supplier that was offering it in the other group buy but the guy arranging it scammed a bunch of people

Sucks, I was also in the GB but for an e92 LCI. Glad to hear you got your money back also. From what I understand, the manufacturer does have the e90 bumpers in LCI and pre LCI. If I can get something set up to have one big GB for both I'll definitely let you know. |
