Buttoning up the wiring on the belly and did a DCT flush.

Tomorrow will be swapping over the LPFP and fuel module, the DME, CAS, Cluster, and all modules under the dash, and hopefully start her up before the weekend is over.

Awesome stuff!
I recommend changing all of the seals on the DCT while its out. Also theres a procedure to flush the DCT that you need the box in the car with all of the electrics working... Dont forget to do it before you start driving.

Note to self and everyone else doing these types of swaps, make sure your donor car and the car you're building on share similar build dates, or at least have matching build cycles (Pre-LCI & LCI).

The DCT transmission will only work on a 2009+ JBE (body module), not only is the wiring rearranged but it also communicates via additional CAN lines so retrofitting a LCI JBE to Pre-LCI harness is extremely painful due to different color wiring and different style pins inside the connectors.

My original plan was to swap over the transmission wiring on the body harness, swap over the JBE/CAS/and then transfer all the additional factory options one by one (Comfort Access, PDC, L7, iDrive, add. Fan Relay, ect), but the task of swapping the the JBE alone seems impossible without spending more time than I can afford.

Even if I got an LCI E90/91 harness, which is hard to find as it is (Most of them are cut or are removed from base 328i models), I would still have to swap all the transmission wiring, and whatever options the harness will be missing, then still be forced to modify it to E91 spec (realistically I won't find a LCI body harness lol).

Anyway.... at this point, I gunna go ahead and swap over the complete E92 harness into the E91, then retrofit 3 additional doors to a coupe.

Pulled the original harness completely out, began separating the rear door harnesses, then the tail gate and all rear compartment wiring.

woulda been so much simpler to start with at least an E90 LCI harness.

Isolated the driver side rear compartment / curtain airbag and door harnesses completely. Also re-wrapping the harness with fresh Tesa tape since the original tape fell apart.

Haven't had any time to make my way over to the shop the last two weekends but here now for Labor Day wknd.

Re-pinned the rear door harnesses, isolated the entire passenger side down to the pins as well, will try to replace the E92 trunk bundle with the E91 tail gate harness, then run a separate wiring bundle for the airbags and rear seat buckles. Then.... off to the infotainment side of things

Last pic is an example of what's left of the original E91 harness.

Looking for opinions.... should I retain the rear window wiper and nozzle or delete it?

Why did you strip the entire harness??? These swaps aren't rocket science and it certainly appears you took the long way to get there. I appreciate the enthusiasm though!

Because unlike the rest of the E91 N54 swaps, my donor was an LCI coupe, with a DCT. I couldnt simply integrate the DCT into my original harness without changing the JBE and altering a ton more wiring.

There's a ton of other reasons I mentioned in my earlier post.

Aside from obtaining a fully loaded LCI E90 harness and still having to integrate the DCT and wagon portion of the wiring, I don't see any other way I could have approached this given my base car is pre-LCI...

Front end if the body harness all wrapped up. Upon rewrapping the harness, I left access to any CAN lines that might be necessary for any future retrofits.
