No, the picture posted is from a 335is with DCT.

found the item but it's only available in europe. i have a contact there and might be able to get it as long as the appropriate wiring is in place to make the retrofit work

Hmmm, How much will it be for the shifter gait?

1st important step is to check if it'll be possible to make the wiring work but even if not, it would be possible to retrofit the wiring into the new trim piece. let me check on the pricing.

I think you just remove the gear indicator like you do if you install a manual shift boot on your auto and hide it underneath this new plate in a safe spot.

Sorry, you need to take me off the GB, I could not wait and have ordered it
already, should have it in a few days.

Will post pics of my install when complete....I intend to also cut the stalk down
1" as recommended.

Just received my shifter from Roger, here's a few pics, another great piece of BMW design.
This is obviously not from the 335is so the leather boot is smaller, so I am off to the leather shop tomorrow to get my standard boot stitched onto the new part.
This will be a bit tricky to get looking like OEM due to the fact that the leather on the upper part is glued on with a hidden stitch to the boot.
Good thing is both leathers look exactly the same, I also want to cut the height of my old boot down around 1" as the new shifter will sit lower when I cut the stalk.
Have not properly re-fixed the cover on the second pic that's why there is a gap.
Will post more updates soon.
BTW, Roger is a great seller and very helpful, highly recommended

The hardest part is changing the leather boot, the rest is easy, remove old, plug in new harness and re-install.

the plan is for this to end when we get 10 together. if nobody else signs up in a while we can end it and go ahead with the orders.

Quick update: i was able to get the 3-series baseplate in germany during my stay there and am able to get more of them. the 3-series DCT shifter however is not in the parts list yet and therefore can't be ordered but it might be beginning of next month. this would eliminate the need to cut the shifter boot and would guarantee perfect fit.

I do however need someone to test the fitment of the new baseplate and it should fit any E9x model.

So what you're saying is that if we wait till next month, the 3 series shifter will be available and fitment will be even better with no messing around?

And what is the use of the baseplate other than it's different than the existing 3 series baseplate?

Does it serve any function as to making the DCT shifter fit better?

What's up with the 'Sport' button, does it serve any function, & do you have to get it that way even if the button does nothing?

I see the baseplate doesn't have the shift indicator on the it - I kinda like to have it both places if possible...

Looking good

Do we still need to cut the stalk if we use the DCT gearknob from the 335iS ?
