I'm very impressed... I've probably done around 400-500 miles since buying the car and I've hit 130+ at least 3 times, the rest of the time I crawl along at 72mph

330 d m sport manual pre-lci mixed driving A roads and motorways but no heavy town traffic 38 mpg is my weekly average...

Mines running a DTUK Box though which makes it more fun..

Manuals definitely improve the Mpg by quite a bit on the 330's.

E93 is very heavy on fuel though. I only managed 22mpg from the one I was lent, I used to get 28mpg from my Touring doing the same runs at the time.

The other thing is every single BMW I have owned that is diesel has been between 9-22% over optimistic on the OBC. My current X3 said 46mpg, actual calculated is 38, I had to adjust it 21% to get it to be spot on.

Not sure why the diesels over read where as the petrols have been spot on in this regard or even under read slightly?

Yeah the verts are heavy. My way to work is about 5 miles long. And this is not long enough to warm up the engine oil. Especially in this time of year. But when I took her for a little drive last weekend I was doing 26.5mpg after 50 miles of mixed b roads and town with few sprints so I don't think is bad. I accept that and love drive with roof down!

Are you getting up to temp properly? Mine used to get to 90ºc within 2 to 3 miles depending on ambient temperature.

I would check and see, the 'stats only last around 4-5 years before they start to stick.

I'm pretty sure all is fine. The coolant gets right temp about two times quicker than engine oil. However there is no a coolant gauge on 335i. Did you have 335i? I got to drive roughly good 10 mins to warm up the oil to 90ºc

Unless it is getting to 90ºc quickly and staying bang on 90 you will be using a lot more fuel.

Using the gas tracker app by Fuelly... my MPG is a fairly consistent 25! That is not bad at all in my book... it breaks down as...

190-230 miles per 3/4 tank.. as I fill up at the 1/4 remaining mark and always do my best to use the BC hidden menus to make sure it is 1/4

Driving conditions/style: Christian
90% City: free flowing traffic 50mph specs for 70% of the journey
20% Highway: 70-80 mph for 64 miles once a week

That's about £182 on fuel over a period of 4 weeks and roughly 624 miles a month.

325i N52 port injection... I am impressed. I always thought you were neither here nor there because you are not the most economical and neither are you the most powerful. Well powerful enough for me though...

After a couple months of having my E92 325D Manual I have found I can easily achieve 45+mpg doing 80/20 Motorway/A-Roads and not paying too much attention to economy or speed limits

That seems very low!

My remapped 330d LCI Auto which is 300+ bhp shows as 36mpg with a mix of motorway and town.

On a trip to Leicester and back I've the past couple of days; 70mph on cruise shows 65mpg.

Follow this guide, pay close attention to the first step. You have to sum the last few digits of the cars VIN and enter them in menu 19.00 to unlock the features!

I've never tried the instant mpg before but thought this was a prime opportunity given the 20+ miles of speed cameras in the M1 around Derby.

At a GPS verified 70; the instant mpg ranged from 65 to 99.9 on the way there and the way back.

I really don't hang about. All my motorway driving is outside lane and nothing ever really passes me.

I'm still getting 36-37mpg combined plus mine's an auto.

I have a dead fuel filter heater so I'm hoping there's a bit more when that's sorted.

What are your temperatures like? Are you running any fault codes?

Today I drove 15+ miles to east London to meet a friend. On my way back I reset. I chose a road that was declining therefore use neutral let the car flow...short shift. Slow throttle application. 45mpg! 10 mins from my house...traffic lights...X5M...I just couldn't resist! Instantly went to 33mpg!👊🏿
