My car works flawlessly with these. You just have to get a set of de-couplers with them. I'd also get the lifetime warranty too. Expensive part(s) for just a 1 year warranty.

I offered decouplers as well, I assume these had the injector seals (black rings) pre installed correct? I can’t wait to change these out, will be here Wednesday

The injectors come with seals yes. You just have to get new de-couplers is all. I got mine at FCP. Good price, lifetime warranty & quick delivery.

The injectors will come with a skinny thimble type thing on them them. Once you remove the thimble, you have something like 5 min to put the decoupler on & install it. I removed it by pushing on it with a small, flat screwdriver.

To get the old injectors out you have 3 options;

1) slide hammer tool - $75.00
2) pick - $5.00
3) HD pliers (you probably already have)

Personally, I wasn't spending $75.00 on a slide hammer tool.

A pick got a couple of them out. I had to put a set HD locking pliers on the threads of the old injectors and rock it east/west, in order to get it out.

Back in stock today. I just got an email from Buy Auto Parts (BAP). The 079, index 12 injectors made by VDO are back in stock as of this morning.

$784.00

For another $200.00, you get a lifetime warranty on them.

I already got them from eEuro.... Buy auto has no clue when they get inventory lol I was on phone with them yesterday and said it could be 30 days before more arrive.. then a couple hours I get email saying there is restock.. WTF!!

They do have best price of $145 each. I ended paying $175 each at eEuro.

Can someone give me a quick rundown of the indices of different injectors...or link me to something that explains it? I've been slogging through the search feature for an hour looking for this...

I have a 10/06 build date 335i so I'm guessing I have index 1...

Are you replacing all of your injectors? Just checking as I've done that before and index 12 started failing as well, so from now on will only replace the ones that go bad. I would suggest keeping left over good injectors as spares.

There are 2 index 12 injectors. One that ends in part number 079 and one that ends in part number 937.
BMW was having issues with the S63 motor in the x5/x6. So, they took the 079 injectors and modified/ upgraded them to meet the needs of the S63 motor and still meet the needs of the N54/55. This injector is the 937. However, the current supply of 079 injectors have the new upgraded parts in them. So, it doesn't really matter if you get 079 or 937 injectors.

You can't mix and match index 12 with any index below 11. The engine will have problems, if you do.

Are they the same part # as the VDO injectors from buy auto?

I can tell ya the injectors were not packed the same for each injector, some had bubble wrap wrapped around plastic case some had bubble just throw in box and not wrapped and some had intrusions in the plastic case and some not in the case ... weird makes ya wonder if they truely are brand new.
