Wheel fitment help please ! Need snow tires/wheels ASAP ha

So I have. 2008 335i coupe , stock wheels are 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. I’m not sure stock offsets. However, I found a great deal on some 17” snow tires and wheels they are 205/50/17 on 8.5” wheels with a 15 offset from a e39 540i

Would these fit on my car well and work or not ? Thanks for the help guys!! I feel like the wheels will clear the calipers just more so concerned about the offset .

From this wheel fitment page I think they should work ok ?!

Well I went to the car with a tape measure and rears seem like they would be flush with edge of fender , fronts seem like they would stick out past the fender

An 8.5” rim is too wide for a 205 50 17 tire, 7.5” would be the maximum rim width for that tire.

Nokian recommends 5.5” to 7.5” for that tire size. I’ve had 215/40/17 mounted on 8” rims and found the tires stretched out to the rim edges. I now have 225/45/17 on 8” rims, it’s a much better fit.

Don’t think that offset would work well either, you can probably find a better fit for the same money.
