Need some help with SOS failure, no audio

So I know this is a pretty common issue with pretty much all BMW's, but I have the SOS warning light and no audio from the radio or seat belt chimes/door chimes. I've ordered the loop jumper (PN 61136917541). I unplugged each device in the trunk to see that they all have the slow flashing red light, up until I get to the MOST connection behind a small cover in the driver footwell, I have no red light here, indicating that It was the last module being the SAT module which seems to be a common issue. I tried using the jumper cable but still no luck, absolutely the same. I checked what I thought were the fuses but I could be mistaken. The HU still works but it doesn't do anything when you turn it up and SAT isn't an option anymore. All of this did happen after some light NCS expert coding but I didn't think they were related. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of the modules on the MOST loop went bad. Note the amp is also on that loop.

That's what I figured, it's not the amp as I checked multiple times, and the flashing light was on the back, I've tried bypassing every unit, still can't get the line to work. I figured it was the sat unit but even when I try bypassing it, no luck. Does anyone know what fuses to check?

What warning are you getting? I get SOS Call System Failure but it doesn't seem to affect anything.

I only get the SOS failure on the dash, I just don't have any audio which is driving me insane, no door dings or warning dings either. I don't need satellite radio or seat belt chimes and I'll never use the SOS function. I just want the logic 7 back.

Not again
Check for water on amp first.

Minimum configuration would be Head Unit direct to L7 amp
Also the L7 amp has LED Indicators that will tell you something
about the status of the amp and Most Loop.
See second link.

Also some cars Have a mulf under the tcu which means two most connections in that area.

Rather than using most jumper you could reroute at the most Hub
if you can keep track or things.

Yeah, my setup is pretty basic apart from the Logic 7 and satellite radio, no idrive or anything. Goes from head unit to l7 amp then to tcu, then to say unit, then back to hu? Had an extra hu which checked out. All the red lights in the trunk work until the one in the driver footwell, what's between the sat unit and drivers footwell?

Basically all Most units are in the Trunk area there is a most test
point under the dash. (on the under dash board drivers panel in
most US Cars I heard they moved it to the glove on some) There is a picture
of this panel and the Most Hub in the link supplied below.
The Most Bus is a Serial line any break in it and nothing in it works.
Fiberoptic lines can be checked/traced by shinning a light source
in one end and seeing it come out the other.

Would running for fault codes in INPA maybe help me trace the source of the MOST problem?

Ista is more help with this kind of problem.
Inpa might show a module being down but it's not
as good with most bus issues.
Actually Most Bus issues are kind of hard because one
module takes the whole bus down .
Try running functional jobs in Inpa to see if it talks
to the modules.
See first link.

diagnostic manual ista/inpa
https://bimmerprofs.com/diagnostics-inpa-part-1/
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...xo19teM9vkTF-C
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...7x8H3pN8h1fMuF
https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-P-actually-do
Assuming the audio system is stock.
The logical sequence would be .
Is there at least one light coming out of the Head unit and going
to the Most Test Point.
Does that Light make it to the most Hub.
Is there a break or bad module in one of the devices in the Trunk area.
Which may include Sat module , TCU , TCU Mulf pair (two stacked modules
each with a Most line ) , Combox , Mulf 2 only, dAB in the UK, HD module
in early cars. Logic 7 amp

If you have Logic 7 did you read the LED indicators on the amp as described in .
http://www.bmwlogicseven.com/?p=3837

This amplifier has a diagnostic LED, which will show lots of things you most likely don't know about. Here you can see where it is located. So look at that LED, turn on the radio and look at it:

More in that thread.

UPDATE: After literally checking every single fuse on the card (None of which were blown...) I tried one more time and suddenly its back to normal? So I'm assuming what happened was a fuse was a little loose

I really really appreciate the help I receive on this forum, everyone knows that if I would've taken the stealership, it would've been a week and $200 to tell me something is not working.

Big thanks to ctuna for the enormous insight on MOST issues, hopefully this will help someone in the future gets their audio back

If you have been working on the car for awhile there is a good
chance you depleted the battery . I would check it an put it
on a battery tender or charger for a long slow charge.
Best to get the Inpa (standard tools) and Ista d going if you
don't want to be subject to that wait and diag charge and if
you want to do any Diy ing.
