2007 bmw e92 325i n52 fault codes
Hello
Ive two fault codes 2D28 differential pressure sensor, suction pipe: Signal 2D2A differential pressure sensor, suction pipe: adaptation can someone please guide me on how to diagnose this. I have cleaned the throttle body today but no luck. |

That's a MAF. the MAP is in the manifold, I think on the corner near the firewall. you have to take off a little cover to see it (been a while since I looked at one).

Sorry to revive this but I need some help
My relative owns a 2011 BMW E87 120i (115kw) and I've noticed that the car's engine makes some sort of a weird noise which kind of sounds like a mild hissing coming from either under the intake manifold or it could be the belt I cannot tell exactly where it's coming from (definitely near the intake manifold). However, I presume its a vacuum leak because when I connected my scanning tool to the car it came back with two error messages:
2AFC "Differential-pressure sensor, intake manifold, signal" 2B16 "Differential-pressure sensor, intake manifold, plausibility". Just before this I was driving the car and noticed smoke coming out of the exhaust whilst sitting at a light at idle engine speed. I have had to replace the valve cover gasket a couple of months ago as it previously had an oil leak due to an improper installation (probably from the previous owner) and I'm not too sure if the leak has come back and caused oil to drip into the spark plug chamber causing the car to smoke. Anyway after I got home, I looked at the live data of the engine and noticed that the "Oxygen Sensor Voltage Upstream Of Catalytic Converter" is at 1.4v and the "Oxygen Sensor Voltage Downstream Of Catalytic Converter" is at 0.7v. I read online that the pre catalytic convertor sensor "should" be reading 0.8v to 1v but they didn't specify whether it is different for BMW engines. I just want to know whether the engine may have a vacuum leak which is causing the engine to run rich which may explain why the oxygen sensor pre catalytic converter is at 1.4v and which may explain why the engine was throwing those "differential pressure sensor" codes. P.S. I also wanted to mention that this noise has been around for a little while and since this noise has been occurring, the car doesn't feel as powerful as it used too. |
