My E92 M Sport LCI Conversion Issues :(

So I thought this would be straightforward... But nothing ever is

Overall everything fitted perfectly to the car, Front Bumper, Bonnet and Rear Bumper. The lights went in fine too (although I am still having issues with coding the front headlights)
My Issue not is the ducts for the M Sport LCI Bumper, the ducts don't fit in perfectly. I have the pics below which I believe shows my issue.

The parts circled in red are parts I'm thinking of cutting a bit so that the duct fits in perfectly, it's plastic/rubber so I doubt it is structurally an issue (correct me if I am wrong).
If I chop that it should fit perfectly :/ leaving me with just the Headlights to think about.

Why dont you buy LCI air ducts?

Not being rude, but if you are doing it, then do it properly.
I have just finished E91 LCI conversion and had to order few parts from the dealer. Didn't go for shortcut methods.

Yup the second picture is the LCI air duct for the M Sport, the first pic shows the Pre LCI SE duct. Just doesn't fit in bought it from the dealers and I made sure all the part numbers were correct.

Its because the central plastic next to it is from pre-LCI.

Ah, I take you changed that for your conversion? and if so and don't mind how much did you pay?
I don't want to order it and it turns out it doesn't fit too, then I won't have any hair left

As far as you have changed the ducts to LCI shape.

PS: Are you the chap who saw me for LCI conversion (coding)?

Just been looking at your project thread and I was wondering if I could ask for some advice? I'm currently looking into fitting the LCI front end to my SE 330D coupe, just wondering what was needed for underneath the car to make the SE splash guard fit the Msport bumper and where did you get it from?
Your conversion looks amazing keep up the mods

Thanks mate

You can get the splash guard from BMW direct, you can get 15% off, there's a thread on here for that.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=860891

I chose not to in the end as the SE splash guard was sturdy and there was only a 2cm gap between the bumper and it. It has been fine so far and keeps the water out. And the wheel arches fit too with a bit of modification underneath so it can fit the bumper. My car is in the garage atm so when I get it back I'll put some pics up.

Done the sport bumper to mine recently and had to trim back the same part as you. My car is an lci model and I bought the correct air scoops but still had to trim the above mentioned part. Think I need an m sport under tray now. As the se one seems way too long.

No worries, hopefully get the car back today
Yes sure happy to help, any LCI headlight can be fitting but just need to make sure you buy the max brose FRM3 module, just give me a shout when you get to these.

Looks good mate
My se one was a little short but good enough.

That front panel is different for SE and M Sport. You would think BMW would keep it the same to make things easier but I guess not.

Just a quick one, looking to do this but keeping my existing headlights as I'm planning a mix and match front end....
Will pre LCI headlights fit with an LCI bumper & bonnet? I was convinced they would but a trader told me otherwise... I know theyre a different design, but a different shape?...

Yup the LCI bonnet is much longer than the Pre-LCI one and the bumper also extends further forward. The headlights are a different shape as well, the Pre-LCI headlight would look as though they were pushed into the car. It could probably be done with quite a bit of fabrication but may cost the same or more in the end than buying LCI headlights.

Ah mate, do you have an E90? Mine was an E92 which is different but if it is an E90 they may possibly be the same headlights, a few threads on here about E90 LCI conversions, just search it up and should bring quite a few as it is a more common conversion.

They headlights are the same in an e90.

I have swapped from Pre-lci to lci lights without any issues. They are different on the e92, but on an e90 they are the same.

Don't suppose you've got a part number for the FRM3 Max Brose?
