Changed the oil on my dime!

I had 6500 miles on the odometer. The car's computer said oil changed needed at 12,000 miles. I couldn't stand it anymore. Spent $81 and had the oil and filter changed.

I feel better now.

I usually change oil every 5,000 "maintenence reminder" miles.

At 5500 miles I couldn't stand it either so I payed for the oil change too. I have about 9200 now and the service indicator says 12000 miles to service...I'm going to go with every 5000 miles anyway. I figure that'll get me two changes in between services...and piece of mind.
