If your guy makes them I'd be willing to go in and split cost with you for a pair. I was just going to drill out the knuckles but for a good price I'd rather swap bushings. Let me know!

I am hoping to have an answer by the weekend as to if they are willing to make them. May take a little longer to get pricing. I will update if it comes to fruition. I’m sure they would be more willing to rip off 20 of them instead of 2 so we will see.

No more modification....
You Should heat up the caliper to 80-100degC in order to get the bushing out, then put the new bush in with heated caliper as well, this should be a safer method to avoid ‘damage’ to tight tolerance of the bore.

Unless the bushings are a bit to small in the first place. But above is what I would do at least.

no need to complicate things..

I also thought that I would have to warm them up / use a hydraulic press and lose half a day, but at the end it was the easiest part of the whole install.
The bushings are tight enough to have perfect fitment and no movement in any direction, a bolt inside and light tap with a rubber hammer was more than enough.

When the calipers are mounted the screw pulls them even tighter to the caliper and there is no way they could be any tighter.

Already ca. 20k miles after the install, no problems whatsoever, couldn't be happier with the install.

Looking for an F30 340i in a year or two, and that's where the bushings method comes in handy, I'll just take the whole BBK and swap it to the new car..

I took it apart and tried to repair the damage I did.
I welded a nice plate from the back side and then filled the enlarged holes with bushings.
the pincer is now standing still (it does not move when braking) and is well at the level with the disc.

however, despite having put braided tubes, new disks, new pads, the braking is not nice strong, the first pump seems to flicker, slow, spongy, then the second pumping clings hard.
what do we need to change and put on the M3 ???
does it really work out?

Yes, do the m3 master, easy job and brakes are amazing with it so why skimp on it, and can be found on eBay for $100 +/-

Is 320d same master cylinder with 335d ? I have not checked but highly doubtful that it is. Also, the coding? Probably not the same either. So you can't expect same results.
