Idrive controller to quadlock

I’m about to wire in an idrive controller, I’ve got the power going to the jbe but want to be sure where to plug the can high and low wires into the quadlock.

https://pinoutguide.com/Car-Stereo-A...n_pinout.shtml

I take it from the above I need spade connectors going to 9 and 11 on block A, is that right?

Bus wires are not a direct connetion between the just the controller to the CIC. CIC, controller, screen, and rest of car need to be on the same can bus. Factory wiring does this at several different junction points behind the dash. For CIC retrofits, most people just connect their controller and screen bus wiring in line to what already exists behind the quadlock.

I’ve asked an auto electrician to look at it soon. Don’t seem to be getting any voltage coming from pin one in the jbe. Really annoying as it has worked momentarily.

There is no need to power the controller from the JBE. Just tap into the power wire at the back of the quad lock. My first i-drive retrofit is to all the factory points for power, ground and bus for the controller and screen. My 2nd one is to the wiring in the back of the quad lock and both cars function identically.

I’m going to try the quadlock option. I’ve bought an extension which unfortunately is coming from Germany so taking a while. Can you remember which colour wires I need to tap?

Seems the issue was the screen connector, anyhow, I’ve wired it into the quadlock and the screen came on, I’ve gone to wire the controller in and blown fuse 14. Fml
