Yearly inspection failed ( headlight )
This year my car wasn't approved at the yearly inspection. My left adaptive headlight is shaking a bit. I don't notice it while driving.
After I went to my service center, they told me the shaking happens when I'm in auto mode. Everything is fine when the low beams are turned on manually (far right) No fault codes. Can it be something electrical if there are no fault codes? (Ista D) Control unit? |

The control unit failed on my adaptive headlights, mine didn't shake though, it just went crosseyed as the beam patterns crossed due to one headlight being in the wrong position.
I bought a new controller off of eBay for about £40, don't get it from BMW if you do change yours they will charge you a fortune. It simply screws to the bottom of the headlight body, you can access it through the wheel arch. My eBay controller has been on the car for a good 7 years without a problem. |
