Upper front strut mount bolt - broken

Hey guys I had broke off one of my strut mount bolts awhile ago. My car has been garaged for quite sometime because I don't drive it in the winter. It was a temporary fix with just a standard bolt and nut. Just curious if anyone out there may have replaced there strut mounts and kept the used ones? I would like to take the bolts out to save me from replacing the mount which were replaced 500km ago. Thanks for the replies in advance guys!

You probably checked but check realoem.com if bmw sells it as a separate part maybe even call them shouldn't cost more than a few bucks max.

I just changed mine out a couple weeks ago but I tossed the old ones, sorry.

FYI, new mounts are not too bad. Here are OEM ones for sport package, on Amazon.

I have a set of new ones just sitting in my garage. If you were local I would give it up. I also have been running with 1 broken bolt. I'm just waiting for my next suspension upgrade and I'll be replacing them. Just be sure you choose the right one for there are 2 types, stock suspension and sport suspension.

Was it difficult to change them out?

depends. If you've never messed with your front struts and springs before, you might find it challenging. I've done it a few times now so I know the ropes.

You remove these to get to the car's spring for spring removal, or for strut removal. Forum has some DIYs for that, would give you an idea of what you're taking on.
