Yes used him on multiple vehicles over the years with great success hence why I recommended him

Alright so I went to Road Race a week ago and had the alignment and balance done - thanks for the recommendations

Peter spent a great deal of time chatting with me and understanding my driving habits and expectations.

When I first came to the E92 I was very disappointed with the handling and turn in. It was not confidence inspiring and was terrible compared to my E46 with M-Sport suspension. I really didn't enjoy the handling however of course the straight line performance was still great.

After the alignment, Peter said that the toe-in was all wrong and the set up terrible overall. Doing my daily driving I've noticed a huge change in simple things like entering bends and corners at regular speeds and the car has gone from significant initial understeer then wanting to kick the tail out (to the point where I hated driving in the rain), to a very crisp turn in with predictable, confident handling. No chance for spirited cornering as yet but wow what a change! It now feels like what I'd expect out of a sports model BMW.

I have bug or two to work out still and that said, would definitely recommend Peter / Road Race Performance for alignments

Garage List
Im going to give a bump for a workshop in Melbourne:

Euro Garage Melbourne
http://www.eurogaragemelb.com.au/home/#

Had a roadworthy done on the 330d and needed a place near the office. On searching Vicroads for a RWC workshop i found a place in West Melbourne called Euro Garage Melbourne. Car needed a few things done to it (which i new about prior) and the owner, Dino, was great to deal with. The place was also probably the cleanest workshop i have seen in a long time, which i also think says a lot.

Almost annoyed i hadn't found it sooner for servicing the 330d due to its location for me in the city!

Bumping up an oldish WA workshop recommendation here.

Did my first oil service since ownership at Worx Automotive in Reservoir, oil and full inspection completed. They seem to specialise in Euro, (BMW in particular) and Kaleel was a top bloke to deal with.

Took my car in to Northside Euros in Mitchell ACT for a service a few months ago. Good price and no nonsense. They also have a racing sim in the waiting area After the stuffing around I had at the other two recommended ACT mechanics, I'd happily use Northside again if I still lived in Canberra.

Unfortunately I now live in Mildura so I need to find a new place for services...

Smash king at Clayton south VIC will ensure good body work is done. Gem in the eastern suburbs. A workshop that has your interest at heart rather than just making a quick buck. Lifetime warranty on their work

Perth good workshops

Ramp Auto Group - BMW specialists and do HEAPS of performance upgrades. I found out about them from another Perth guy on this forum.

Regan is the owner.

The hourly rate is tricky to go by good mechanics who know our cars can do more in less time.

Never use Central Autohaus ever again!
Me being an idiot forgot to tighten my lug bolts after putting the wheels back on left front wheel
Anyways his workshop was next to my home and I just wanted to drop by and see what that weird noise was
He spend about 1 min telling me I didn't tighter or properly and he dared charge me 82 dollars for his 2 minutes of time. Needless to say I was furious for his "service" and his attitude
I've already sent a complaint to fair trading and trying to make a case
Look 82 dollars isn't anything but they should have given a common courtesy and just told me if the freaking left wheel nut wasn't righted properly
I dunno how in the world that was worth 82 dollars to tighter a wheel nut

I live close to St. Leonards station in Sydney. Anyone know of a good mechanic close by?

Using Google, this mechanic is very close to me, BMWise Service Center http://www.bmwise.com.au/

Someone also recommended "James Shih Eastern Valley AutomotiveUnit 7/171 Gibbes St, Chatswood"

Wondering if anyone have experiences with the two mechanics above or have any other recommendations.

Thanks so much

Sunshine Coast QLD Workshop:

Andrews High Tech Automotive - https://andrewshightech.com.au/

Imo the best workshop for BMW/Euro cars on the Sunny Coast. They take care of regular service/maintenance, tuning, dynos, and so much more.
